My favorite part of the CDPosting is that with offline stuff becoming more and more trendy, there's a pretty good chance we see a return of CD players and Radios and shit just as trend chasing, since the hardware is so relatively cheap. It'll probably be a premium addon type feature which is just hilarious if it wasn't a bit sad, but the window of opportunity is there. Offline Nostalgia is growing stronger.

I'm tired of all these "smart" cars that spy on me, have "safety" features that try to kill me, and don't have analog radios. They don't even have CD players anymore! What the fuck?! How am I supposed to blast my rockabilly music?

I think Ford actually does in one model? Buddy got a brand new Bronco, I was peeking through the manual and saw there were instructions for “CD (if equipped)”. Hell I’m pretty sure they put tape decks (with Dolby NR) in some cars until like 2010 or 2011.

I use wired CarPlay. Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto is awful.

Yep agreed. I think their new diesels are somewhat better than the awful 6.0/6.4 but fuck the F150 is terrible now. They have almost no good powertrains left and everything they sell gets a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6. It’s so sad, you look at an old F150 with the Ford 300 straight six it’s not even remotely the same company anymore. They also let Lincoln go to shit.

The new transmission in most their cars is the 10R80 which is a jointly designed transmission between GM and Ford. LOL! I am good on that brother.

If it's a cheap worn down piece of shit. For a decent used car it's probably the 6-8k range right now. Used to be less, I got my used shit box with 20k miles on it for 4k. Depends on your location and the market/model though.

Also need to know what to look for and who to buy from. Best people to buy from are the elderly, they drive less and will put fewer miles/less wear on a car.
