Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

My first most likely guess is that Trump and/or the jews bomb something that isn't the plant but near by as a demonstration of "We could if we wanted".
Already been done by Israel earlier:

This is the area they will likely attack, the power transmission lines and maybe the reactor under construction as an extra 'fuck you'. Russia won't be too happy since their people are still there I think, but alas.

From google: Cousin marriage is legal and culturally accepted in Israel, though prevalence varies dramatically by community. It is very common among Israeli Bedouins (approx. 44.8% prevalence) and some Arab communities, while being very low (1–2%) among Ashkenazi Jews. The practice is permitted in Jewish Law and often used to maintain family assets.

Trump signals winding down

Trump signals gradual reduction of military
Can anyone give me a tldr on if anything happened since Trump signaled winding down?

I've been busy with fishtank as of late, but I do want to give a big thank you to y'all here who summarize the various events and going ons. It's a lot easier to read and catchup on what's happening vs legacy media and xitter sources!

The Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) in Iran operates using a pressured water design specifically the Russian-designed VVER-1000 (AES-92), generating ~1,000 MW of electricity. It is a civilian, light-water reactor fueled by low-enriched uranium (4.5%), with two additional reactors currently under construction.

Heres a helpful digram of the VVER reactor. I will say with a 96% confidence level that the USAF/IAF will target the areas in pink: the generators, the transformers and power lines. Anything else would be far too risky. Its highly unlikely they will touch the turbine hall since it serves dual functions of turning the generator and pumping water back into the reactor to complete the nuclear power cycle. Yes there are backup generator pumps should the turbine hall fail, but again, too risky to damage it since its involved in maintaining the core.

Here are some pics of a 3D model of the power plant. The US and Israel likely know every hallway and corridor of the entire plant.

OK please, Is there someone that isn't a brainlet like me. Is there a way to give all ME countries some type of weapon where they could MAD themselves but no one else? Even if the oil is gone and 5 billion indians and chinese have to die.

I actually want that. Can the entire eastern hemisphere just die? Is that too much to ask? I don't even give a shit about europe at this point.

I don't want to hear a hawk-tua language again, or chinese or indian, ever. or "british".

Please.

They already have that. It's called Islam.

The man was identified as Ofer Moskovitz, the manager of Misgav Am's avocado plantation.

Iran launched a missile towards south-western Israel, it was intercepted over Route 40.

Hey guys! I've found someone who's literally never interacted with the military in any capacity other than watching Biden era recruitment advertisements on youtube!

If you're going to try and bait, at least put some effort into making it sound at least somewhat plausible instead of shitting out the laziest tard slop.

At no point would it make sense for Iran to ever fire nukes at European countries or the continental US
Well, if they nuke Israel and the Mahdi doesn't return, then clearly they'll need to nuke more of Dar al-Harb to make it happen.
Do you really think they spent billions of dollars building the Iranian equivalent of a space elevator and nobody involved ever thought "what if the power goes out"?
If Allah wills it to work, it will work even if you cut every last power transmission line. And if Allah wills it not to work, who are you to try and overturn him?

can you please cite the text of this nonexistent fatwa?
Of course. Here is a statement on the official website of Khamenei the Elder. I can't read Farsi, but supposedly this is in the 'Fatwa' section of the website.

There are many more statements by Iranian officials on the matter out there. Whether you believe that these statements are just political theater or worry that Iran may change its stance in the future, statements like the one above show that the Iranians are earnest in their belief that a Fatwa banning WMDs exists.

with the threats to shut down their power, is it safe to say we are in totalen krieg phase of the war now?

I don't even know how this could be de-escalated at this point.

eh, it's not the draft that you should actually worry about, its the unprecedented level of disruption to the global economy, and the subsequent price of everything soaring.

Chinese man: The United States should abandon its role as a global hegemon/bully and seek an equal partnership with China, Russia and Iran.
Tucker: I think that's the wisest possible advice and probably the only path that preserves civilization.
:story:
I just listened to this whole podcast today, and this was a part I was amused by when it occurred. I've heard about what Jiang Xueqin and Tucker Carlson are promoting here before, The idea is that instead of a strong American global hegemony bringing peace, stability, and prosperity to the world (Pax Americana), America would instead retreat to a regional hegemony and simply grant geoplitical rivals their own hegemonies, spheres of influence. Russia can have Eastern Europe, China can have Taiwan and I guess the rest of East/Southeast Asia, and Israel/Iran (take your pick) can have the Middle East. It's pretty much the Nazi/USSR non-aggression pact over splitting Poland on global scale.

Obviously, this idea of ceding ground to geopolitical adversaries is dumb and is not how Trump has been conducting foreign policy, but I've heard the Democratic commentariat expressing panic that this is his plan, especially when Trump explicitly reasserted the Monroe Doctrine over the Western Hemisphere after churro'ing Maduro. In their mind, Trump wants to emulate and be friends with other strongmen dictators, so they imagine that the "Donroe Doctrine" is Trump settling for the Americas and willfully giving up the rest of the world to those dictators. Even with war on Iran, I suspect the Democratic commentariat might still hold the same assessment, insisting that this is Israel starting the war to assert their regional hegemony in the Middle East and that Trump is giving tacit permission for Russian and China to break international law with their aggressions (lol).

A few other amusing bits from this podcast:
  • Tucker Carlson, never names Jiang Xueqin or cites his credentials in the video/audio. He just calls him "professor" at the start, and that's it. Rather fitting, really, since Xueqin is ultimately a total rando with no expertise whatsoever.
  • Much of the podcast is Tucker asking Xueqin how he thinks the Iran War will effect various countries over time. "What does X look like in five years?" It's funny to recognize that Xueqin is just bullshitting answers on the spot while Tucker praises his brilliant analysis.
  • In response to Tucker pressing that China obviously has regional ambitions, the likely-CCP agent instead frames China as concerned only with its internal affairs, having "no interest in the outside world."
  • In a brief talk about South Korea, Tucker starts off pointing out that North Korea has a better birth rate in what sounds to me like a praising tone (note: 1.75 vs .75). They conclude that with America's retreat from the world, the Koreas would "come to a compromise" because "both nations aspire for national reunification". Getting a little feeling that they're NK simps, though that's not surprising on top of everything else.
  • Xueqin at one point brings up Russia as a benefactor of the Iran War, getting a reaction from Tucker that makes it seem like he does NOT want to talk about Russia in that way.
