I think so, but others may disagree. Tumblrinas should have their characters criticized as well, especially if their characters were normal before they joined tumblr.
I know a few characters I had went through this phase before changing back or "de-tumblrizing" them.

In a way, they kind of merge yet they're different at the same time. BAIS types are a lot more prudish that the UIB, they tend to have a weird breast obsession (and to a lesser extent, women's figures). While also being incredibly hypocritical since they will make excuses for male characters (to the point of being joyful when they're scantly clad) and magical girls in general. They're also pissyier when it comes to something they despise existing (like Quiet from Metal Gear Solid). As well as a misandrist streak since everything is blamed on the "creepy marketing guy" when women are portrayed with any sex appeal (real or imagined) and act as if a fair number of men would find the character at least kinda hot, it's totally dangerous. Unlike the UIB people, they can sometimes make nice designs when it comes to practical fantasy armor.
UIB types tend to act as if the property they're redesigning is theirs or at least they way it should be. They seem more pleasant on the surface, but it you say things they don't like (no matter wow cordial), they can get dramatic or vicious about it. UIBs are more open-minded about clothing and sex, even with females (or female-like). They can even totally dismantle a character until they fit their narrative, wrecking what made them great.
They're also the same since they both have major issues with prettiness and even the BAIS will appreciate an ugly, out of character redesign just on the grounds that it fits their narrative.

Aesthetically pleasing, I must say. However its charm is all lost when it becomes a piece of political pandering.
I do tend to assume that people who draw bikini "armour" haven't got laid in a year and struggle to get out of their chairs, but I think that applies to tumblrinas as well.

Though for the first picture, better colors could be used, the red and pink, blue etc. are making my eyes strain.
The 2nd one is pretty cute, though I'd fix the blue haired girls face, looks like shes melting.
