It's not even about having some experienced war veterans. Think about this modern generation, that has grown up next to an Xbox or a PlayStation. They are fucking naturals to begin with.

Finnish military is already training conscripts with FPV drones: Pictured below, conscripts doing manoeuvring training on an obstacle course indoors. It's just like 6 months before service when they were sitting on their sofa playing War Thunder or whatever, and now they are doing this.

So for people saying that NATO isn't adapting to modern warfare....

In more related news, I’m glad casualties are being kept to a minimum. It’s something Russia could not accomplish, and meat waves are both demoralizing and create a problem where you can run out of trained soldiers quickly. I’d rather be maintaining soldiers as much as possible, and pay them more the longer they’re on duty.

that's the ticket right there. down through the years when Iran ever came up in a conversation and somebody inevitably said "why doesn't the US just get it over with and bomb the shit out of them", my answer was always "cause they still accept USD for their oil". As long as most or at least some of their oil was traded using USD, we didn't really give a shit beyond making enough gestures to appease the israelis.

They are aware that their crude is traded for USD but they don’t want to admit it so they just went for the chinky yuan.
 
If you guys want an actual critical look at the conflict/situation from people who actually are in contact with the power players listen to FDDs "Generation Jihad" podcast. It's on Spotify or wherever people find podcasts now. It's not gay or anything.

I think it's heading into a better direction all over Europe. The thing is, it's easy to lose military capability. It's much more difficult to build it back up again.

Even when Russia is invading Ukraine, I can imagine it's hard to get the public in Western Europe interested. It's getting better like I said, but should be far more ambitious.

Even in Sweden who were a very legit military power at the apex of Cold War. They still have good air force and navy. Their army is a joke (for a country of their size). They removed conscription in 2010, and then brought it back in 2017. But all that infra was destroyed, they don't have the capability of training the amount they really need to etc.

Sweden has like twice the population of Finland (10.5M vs 5.5M), yet Sweden is now training like 9000 conscripts annually. Finland is training like 23-24k conscripts a year, 70ish% of all males go through military training.

Still a lot of work to do, especially if a country like Germany is even flirting with conscription. It's not going to happen over night.

Off-topic but this reminds me of the one time where decades of videogames came in handy in a manufacturing setting. There was a bigass dual thumb control hoist that was used to flip rear subframes around and plop them back down on the line. I absolutely rocked that shit. I was faster than the fucking robot they jerry rigged to the spare hoist later on. They would call me over to do it manually to catch the line back up when the robot fell behind, lol.

I miss that job, it was awesome.

The JCPOA agreement was retarded from the getgo, a glorified can kicking down the road ritual where everyone patted each other on the back and did an international circlejerk. Regardless, it went down by 'experts' as a great deal and something legacy making for Barry because Iran would be true and honest about their nuclear program in return for some economic relief. Thankfully it only lasted 3 years before Trump tore it up in May of 2018.

An earlier 2018 raid on Iran's nuclear archive showed Iran lied and was just going to wait out the political hot potato of Irans nuclear ambitions and that they already had a vision for expanding and hiding their nuclear weapon program. Trump doesn't get much flack, if any, for tearing up the agreement now. Even in 2020, 2024, it was never even mentioned. The big topic was the Hamas Israel war in 2024.

Events have since transpired that have turned the table on its head. The Hamas Mario kart massacre of October 7th gave Israel a free pass by nearly all world governments to go after Hamas, Hezbollah and parts of Syria and Iraq. Putin getting stuck in Ukraine caused Syria and Venezuela, two BRICS members to topple, Russia can't save anyone anymore. After the success of Midnight Hammer, its consequences and failed negotiations, and killing of their own people, its become clear that Obama was a dumbass who go duped into into a bad faith agreement because Barry wanted to atone for all the world evils and promised the US would be a good person in the international community.

I suppose its good it happened the way it did, because it allowed Trump to buck break Iran in front of the world, getting an even greater legacy than Obama will ever have. The democrats WISH they had someone as good as Trump.

Idk maybe the fact that they will have to turn to Putin for gas otherwise have an energy crisis might light a fire under their ass. If they kept their nuclear plants they would be alright but now since they threw it away, they no longer have the luxury of choice to say 'no' to the US. Importing infinity browns isn't helping their either.

When your 'allies' make retarded decisions that cause them to then leech off your defenses, thats no longer an ally but a liability. Eurofags did it to themselves. They can get fucked. The globalism argument is dead.

Like I said earlier. If US were to make formal and reasonable requests, the higher up the better, I don't doubt that the European NATO allies would spare unites to help out.

Calling in allies on Truth Social, after you have berated them at the same platform a week ago, isn't probably getting it done.

No way. He knew it was a bad deal, the JCPOA was all about optics. Like all the rest of his foreign policy. I heard someone famous for commentary on US foreign policy coping and sneeding that the failed deal was actually 4d chess. It was always intended to maintain Iranian strength in preparation for the IROI to act as an American ally in the region against an Israeli-Saudi Axis. It seems like die-hard Obama-stans really struggle to rationalize his decisions with Iran ex post facto.

what does europe even have to send, and i mean this unironically.
the only nuclear carrier eu has is the CDG which has now deployed to the red sea after the attacks on cyprus
