I'm not sure the Republican party is going to address the AI sensationalism that inevitably gets worse as it creates enterprise-wide mistakes and accelerates the job crisis. If anything they will continue to glaze their techbro constituents at the expense of a less-decided voter. This is just one example of ways the Republicans can lose.

They could luck into one. Remember Obama came out of nowhere, that was supposed to be Hillary’s election to win. That was a perfect storm of someone on the outside who wanted to become a member of the elite. They’d need another and that type of candidate is much harder to find in 2028 compared to 2008.
I expect a dark horse too. Probably some 2026 sudden win, it won't be Talirco for sure, that guy's fucked. But possibly some out of the blue. I think they know their current cause and tops are all garbage. Also, the DNC pics their front runners without primary votes. It's the super leaders in their caucuses that decides, the final party bosses much like the USSR did to select the total runners despite the votes.
