The jobs crisis appears irreversible. There is no reason to believe either of these political parties that directly profit off undermining and destroying domestic labor will turn off the tap of soulless immigration. We have been in "the worst job market yet" for five years while the tightest circle of wealthy companies boast record profits. They've also probably been asked to outright lie or cook the books, just so every single sector of the American economy does not turn blood red and people begin shooting politicians.

I used to think that Trump would get frustrated at American business people because they are opposed to working class people, which in turn, weakens the real economy. Then the working class would get annoyed at Trump for failing to fix corporate America.

Turns out, he never cared in the first place.

I thought it was established they go all in on progressive types and celebrating folks like Dylan Mulvaney and Lia Thomas AFTER they win. And then MAGA goes crazy and the cycle begins again.

I'm not convinced Trump even cares about his party. He's going to have to deal with Democrats for the next 2 years and instead of faking empathy (which he is physically incapable of doing) he's shrugging his shoulders.

Its been proven that Trump only cares about Trump and that this whole presidency campaign has been to further stroke his ego and try to leave a shitty legacy behind so he can be remembered.

It can be done, but you have to want to and be able to do it, and Democrats and Republicans won't do it because they neither can nor want to do it, and there's no one else, so nothing will change. Well, it can be done, but only theoretically, and not practically, because there are only Republicans and Democrats, so it won't be done and nothing will change. It was better before, now it won't be better, and at most, it will only get worse.

It will not change because neither side wants things to change. They both get to benefit with cushy jobs they barely have to show up or do anything, as well as kickbacks, bribes, and other grift. On top of that, they can just blame their failures and shortcomings on the opposing side. And when they do get caught with their hands in the cookie jar, they can just cry crocodile tears, then quit with a cushy golden parachute after getting a slap on the wrist. Why would they want to give up that?

Trump always loses in every "deal" because he is weak and has no negotiation skills whatsoever outside of stiffing his small vendors and contractors without the resources to fight back.

He backs down against anyone who shows they can push back, such as Denmark.

Never mind most of them are American citizens born in the US who have never even been there, and those who did live in Cuba are retirement age at the earliest now. The Mariel Boatlift was in 1980, 46 years ago.

I really do think he's living in 1986 now.

The thing about MAGA was that it’s all cult of personality . 2024 just made it more so, and I’m not sure if there’s much of a future if Trump’s Cabinet picks or batting average in regards to endorsements is anything to go by. Also, IIRC, someone actually looked back at Trump’s claims to creating peace, and concluded that a lot of it was bullshit or couldn’t be credited to him.

He already had a legacy in the form of “The Apprentice” , Trump Tower, and his casino in Atlantic City. And WWE. And he chose to go into politics.
