Clearly not destroyed enough, because the current time horizon for US involvement in strikes etc is anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months currently. (Archive)

A senior Israeli military official said Israel’s objective was to “dismantle the regime’s military infrastructure, including the IRGC” as well as Iranian nuclear sites, military production facilities and space and cyber capabilities.
“We’re preparing for several long weeks,” the official said.
They said the “third phase” of the war was under way. That followed a first phase that consisted of deadly opening strikes in Tehran on Saturday targeting the Iranian leadership, followed by a second phase of “100 hours” focused on destroying ballistic missile, drone and air-defence capabilities.
A former senior Israeli official who is familiar with the current war plans warned that “this will take time . . . There is a lot of work to be done. Iran is huge.”

If the President can make spelling errors or minor miscalculations such as bombing a school and starting a new forever war in the Middle East, then I think we can cut the ESL users some slack.

What's to say they wouldn't just casually nuke the UAE or Bahrain if they felt like it?

Dropping a $200m missile with centimetre accuracy is a good thing, and being able to watch it in crystal clear HD is even better.

The school being struck with kids in it sucks, I don't think there's anyone here cheering "yay dead kids" I don't personally believe it was done intentionally (whether by a US/Israeli strike, or by one of Irans own rockets failing which we do have photos and videos showing that did happen as well) The unfortunate reality of it is that to determine what happened we would really need to be able to visit the site and find remains of whatever ordinance landed there, that's something that will never be possible though because Iran is just going to say the zionist aggressor did it no matter what as they lie about almost everything else in this conflict from claiming to have killed 4 gorillion american soldiers to saying they've hit American carriers with a full barrage of allahs strongest missiles.

The situation does raise some other questions though, none of which mean 'yay dead kids" But I do question how much the Iranian establishment actually gives a shit when common sense would make another country say "hey it seems like some military shit is about to hit the fan, maybe we don't send the kids to the school on the military base today" (There are US military bases that have schools on them but in the event of an emergency we'd be evacuating the kids or at the very least not sending them to the school in the runup to a conflict just like all of the other personel we evacuate or tell to gtfo of regions during conflict)

I also question their motivations to protect kids in their cities when the IRGC has started straight up operating out of schools as I've posted about earlier in the thread.

It fucking sucks that this happened, full stop. But I also am not going to say "oh well a bad thing happened call off the war"

Same is true of the handful of casualties we've seen on the US side of things, it fucking sucks, but no military action ends at the first sign of coming with a cost and I'd actually commend the operation thus far for having only 6 casualties on our side. Doesn't mean I don't care about the 6 that DID happen.

Some of you retards want to pretend that not just giving up at the first sign of trouble means "oh you're just sociopaths don't you care that bad things happened?" If you give up at the first sign of trouble all that does is tell the world that all they need to do is inflict one casualty or allow one tragic loss of civilian life to defeat you completely and that's just an insane stance to take as a nation.
