Hindsight being 20/20 and all that, but if you could go back and do it again would you have not done the interview and just verify them and let them post so that you're not so closely tied to their statements?

She was his girlfriend, she did know him, she did have evidence. Literally what was I supposed to ask for? The reality is true: Turkey Tom's long-term ex-girlfriend accused him of violent and unwanted sexual behavior. There is no way for me to determine if she's actually lying or not from just our conversations. In the interview I asked her questions to strain her story and several of her responses were used by Turkey Tom to exonerate himself. He used her responses from that interview to help further his own narrative. Literally what more could I have done?!

I don't understand why you get hate for interviewing them, if anything you accelerated their burnout so you didnt have people seething for years about these allegations. Id go as far to say it was a net positive that you did, for everyone involved.

All of these cases are different by the specific wrong doing of the third party, but in all cases it's fair to have guilt by association because it's not you being criticized. I think most people just find the hypocrisy funny.
