It's a catch 22 situation where Congress doesn't want the responsibility/blame/guilty for formally declaring war but knows sometimes you need to send in the troops to fuck someone's shit up. So they made it so the President basically can declare war unofficially without having to go through Congress so Congress doesn't take the blame when shit goes it's up.
With the authority the Commander and Chef has over the military his only real limit is how long he can engage troops for abroad without an act of Congress to extend it (which Trump has gotten nowhere close to hitting) and how to utilize them on US soil (which we all seen the legal slapfights). All Congress voting to declare war does is unlock the wartime emergency powers for POTUS. Which they sure as shit don't want to give him because it limits their authority and oversight abilities over what Trump does domestically and abroad.

If giving the RINOs and Bibi their top wish list item doesnt get SAVE passed and instead forgotten i am gonna be pissed.

Bibi has enough to make McConnel behave and he has to know the Dems will undo his Iran project.

If the Democrats somehow lose the midterms, either just by voter sentiment or, as they think, the evil nazi republicans rigging the midterms im gonna bust so fucking hard reading and watching seethe. If they’re this buckbroken now imagine when they find out they have another 2 years of Trump unopposed lol

This administration has exposed so much bullshit but just being willing to fight. The insane 12th order effects chain of cause and effect we've been taught to fear since 9/11 can be solved by simple solving problems as they occur, it's such an obvious solution I used to think about when I was 12 years old playing counter strike and I let adults basically talk me into thinking it doesn't work.

>Kill them, how are you not getting this?

I'm still kind of on edge that at some point this is going to backfire, that's what 30 years of mental programming does. And most of this stuff I see as necessary even if there is a lot of backfire because I think ignoring it is far worse. But every month since last January I've grown more and more convinced that all of this shit has been easily doable and we've been ruled by people who genuinely don't want the problems solved. It's sickening.
the amount of anger coming from people who see that America is fighting and successful is fucking hilarious.

Tucker's favorite historian posted this on feb 28th and has not posted since:

Congress wants this war too. Everyone does. Make no mistake. Trump is not a lone in this and he doesn't have majority of Congress behind him. Even if they don't openly support him.

I was on board with this until I learned they were calling it "Operation Epic Fury". I fundamentally can't support something with a gay ass tryhard name. We should be calling it something like "Operation Slimy Liquid Dog Dookie", to let the thirdies know that we do not take them seriously and we are here to have fun above all else.

If they don't get a regime change though (which seems likely if we're not going to put boots on the ground) and the ayatollah is just replaced by another ayatollah
There's a tricky thing about that. The Ayatollah is hand picked by the previous one. By killing him we have broken their religious line of succession which could lead to a schism or at least a religious crisis. On top of that shit show, the current Ayatollah also had no direct next if kin or siblings(it's rumored that he was gay). I'm not an all knowing expert on everything Islam but I'm curious how the adherents will cope with this.
I'm still not sure how having a new radical Islamist in power is any better than having the old one.
It wouldn't be, which is why we're hoping the Iranians don't go that route. Ideally they transition to a secular government that has favorable views of the West. If they choose to just vote in another religious extremist regime, we'll be back to do this again. Trump said exactly that. They have the illusion of choice but in reality it's there's only one choice with a positive outcome.

1.Pick a moderate government with favorable Western views and we'll leave you alone/be friends.
Or
2.Pick another jihadi Jonny and we'll be back in 2 years to do this again until you pick correctly.

It should have been Epstein's Wrath and Saint James retribution respectively.
