It's a gamble. If it goes well, regime overthrown, it's quick, the media showing celebrating protestors in the street with the lion flag, and no troop presence on the ground, it could help. But I don't think that Americans have the stomach for a long term ground operation like that anymore.

This isn't war, since the US requires congressional approval to engage in war. This is just a special military operation in a sand country that will last 5-20 years.

Creating a power vacuum in the middle east never goes badly. If we just kill all the leaders they will adopt Western progressive politics and let the women cut their tits off.

I would be on the look out for terrorist activity in the west over the summer and be careful where you go. This won't go over well with the Muslims.
