How long until she spreads her holes on OF for minimum wage equivalent?

Also, she can't sing for shit. It's horrible.
God, I don't know why but my brain thought that was Linsday Ellis at first and I was very confused by why that pretentious tool was being discussed in the RT thread.
Watching some old Theater Mode episodes. I get the idea but I feel like they watched movies that were meant to be bad on purpose then said oh my heck look at it being bad at this part and this part and this part. I remember liking a few of these when I was younger but now looking back I am just not getting anything out of it. Yes the killer turkey movie has bad continuitiy and is poor quality, that's what it is. It is cool that all of Theater Mode and AH is readily archived, but watching some of it back man it does not hit how it did when I was young.

It's also very possible I grew out of the comedy of Michael and Jack cause I have felt exactly zero desire to follow them post RT. Either way I am curious if others liked Theater Mode. I also never saw MST3K so I don't have nostalgia for the format.
I remember liking Theater Mode back when it was airing, but it could be pretty hit or miss. I'm pretty glad they introduced me to Fear Town USA, that was actually a pretty funny movie.

I feel the same way about Michael and Jack now. Regardless, I was never really into theater mode, it always felt like a shittier MST3K. It had shittier movies, shittier jokes, shittier presentation, and a shittier cast. Some of the Funhaus ones were pretty good though (as far as I can remember), but even with a gun to my head I couldn't tell you a single movie they watched. Both shows were knee-capped by their respective budgets though; they had to get absolute dogshit movies because they were cheap to license for streaming on the RT site.

I think this is also an issue with some of the newer MST3Ks, using films that were intentionally bad vs earnestly bad. You can't riff something that's in on the joke. It just doesn't work. See the difference between Birdemic 1 and 2. Thankskilling is another good example since I'm pretty sure they just had a stupid turkey puppet and decided to engineer a movie around it.

I also believe that, while some are interested in so bad they're good movies, it's kind of just a surface level thing that don't want to invest too much into. We all know the big players in bad movies like Wiseau and The Room or Breen and his insane set of movies. But nobody, other than genuine enthusiasts, go digging on their own time. Searching through places like Tubi or digging through your local video store to find more stuff. You will though of course find stuff that is just plain bad and not even worth watching though.

But you can find the occasional gem like Cryptz or Suburban Sasquatch.

Oddly I love the Regulation watch alongs now and that's watching lets just say real stuff. Geoff, Gavin, Andrew Panton, Eric from Mega 64 and Nick the audio guy watching things like The Tuxedo. Jingle All The Way, Snow Day, Mousehunt and they usually have a reason, that's awesome. Tuxedo was watched because Gavin like pre ordered it as a kid he was so damn excited by the trailer then was disappointed by the movie and says it's one of his first big disappointments. Mousehunt was watched because Gavin called it the 3rd best Home Alone film. MVP 2 was watched because Andrew said seeing the monkey skateboard made him think he could. That helps a ton. A for lack of a better term, in universe reason to watch the meh movie. And these aren't even truly bad movies, I'd argue mousehunt for what it was is actually a solid movie and Gavin was correct in it being the third best home alone. So instead of hehe bad movie bad it's more this movie from a part of my life is a bit fucking goofy. It's almost more fun watching people enjoy a meh or just okay movie and just goof around than hate on a bad movie.

Yeah that's the one I watched then made the post, Thankskilling and like, if you watch Thankskilling and crack 75 jokes you honestly come off weirder than the movie kinda. Like, it's a movie where you watch it knowing what you're getting and either bad movies like that are your thing and you laugh or you don't watch it. To watch the full hour and be like hehe it so low quality, no shit dumbass.

Also I assume MST3K wasn't all sex jokes every chance and being like bad acting bad acting bad acting every line, no shit it's bad acting, that's why your watching it, can you go beyond that?

MST3K was actually fairly witty with its riffs and then added to them by having a quasi Tales From The Crypt style episode format where the hosts would do joke segments and skits in between their stints riffing on the film. The segments and skits would serve as a sort of B-Plot for the episode and relate in some way to the movie that they were watching and would also further the meta narrative of the Satellite of Love and Deep 13 or Pearl Forrester. The movie riff segments are obviously the main show and the big lasting attraction but the intermediate skits were as good if not better in many cases and really served to make a fleshed out and earnest variety comedy show. The entire series is available free in full on youtube on the official MST3K youtube channel, I'd highly recommend giving it a chance, especially since most of the movies they watch and riff on that show are things like cheesy 50's and 60's sci-fi or horror midnight features, Ed Wood films, terrible straight to VHS garbage from the 70's and 80's, and educational/corporate marketing shorts. Some of the movies they riffed on weren't even that bad, or are even important landmark films for their respective eras, genres, or place of national origin, despite how cheesy they are in retrospect. The show was also heavily scripted by a full team of writers and wasn't just live, off the cuff jokes.

TL;DR: MST3K was much more than just the movie riffs, and the riffs were much more clever than just "movie bad", and shows inspired by MST3k lose a lot of that magic.

Last thing I'll say about this cause I think after two I'm not watching anymore. It's also just literally them being like hehe a boob, drink! the second theter mode was some tanning salon movie and you can imagine what that lead to but literally all they had to say every time was "is that a boob, hold on does that count" and it's like bro you guys figuring out if you're seeing a boob or not is adding NOTHING to this experience. There's a bit of editing, but it's pretty dog shit like someone says "is she drawing Master Chief" so then the editor sloppily outlines master chief on her drawing and it's so fucking boring. I think Theater Mode somehow actively makes the movies worse and the entire experience worse.

Ryan did get excited episode 2 when Geoff said he went tanning with Meg though.

lol

Ryan is just hilarious to me now. All the obvious signs and the overreaction of the company/fanbase as if he was a literal rapist when he's just a garden variety coomer with no self-control makes it into a completely absurd thing that I can't be offended at... as long as I don't think about his poor family too much.

Jack and Michael treating it like he was the anti-christ instead of a dickhead who fucked around on his family will never not be funny. "I sat next to that monster for years and never knew" yeah, I don't buy it Jack

I have never struggled to buy that for a moment tbh. If I was ryan, I'm banging fans I'm cheating on my wife guess who I am not trusting with even a hint of that information. Holy shit I'd make up stories literally just for Jack and Jack alone to be like hopefully he doesn't find out cause this faggot of all the people in this room will ruin my life with his reaction to it.

wtf is going on with blaine? is he turning tranny?
He's going to turn into this guy:

sex jokes every chance
99.9% of people and streams that attempt 'riffing' ends up there, and it's not surprising these guys did too.

To properly do MST3K? You need writers. Good ones.

"dick dick dick fart dick AIDS" was barely funny in college, it's not funny now. (Not because I'm a pearl-clutcher, it's just not funny because it's the lowest possible and most predictable joke there ever was)

It's why you need a good set of friends to really have fun with a game like Pictionary or Quiplash, if you just hook up with randos? All you get is dick dick dick dick fart fart AIDS.

On top of that Jack is so fucking stupid I would believe that he'd never pick up on the signs, Jack has never struck me as much of a thinker.

His favorite games developer is Ubislop. He was the biggest I fucking love Soyence Elon dick rider until Elon said some non-woke things. He married a fangirl who wanted a green card and won't fuck him because her vagina hurts.

corrected for accuracy, because as has been discussed dozens of times in this thread if she really wanted to fuck Jack there are variety of treatments that would allow her to do so and nothing about her "illness" has been proven beyond her word.

Honest to god I think that this should be legal grounds for divorce.

Why think when you can rely on the news to tell you what to think so you can focus on consoooming?
jack is peak consooomer, still remember him being all smug about getting the google glasses as soon as they came out even though they were shit because he says he always buy new shit as soon as it comes out. he just buys product and gets excited for next product.

Yeah I only watched a couple of episodes, it just got boring quickly. I also tried watching MST3K and maybe it's because I didn't grow up on it but I wasn't a fan of that. But a big difference is that the MST3K guys watched the movies multiple times and scripted out their riffs. Theater Mode, they admitted in episodes they just watched a trailer, or only Geoff did, and they decided what to riff based on that. And multiple times they didn't have much material to work with because of that.

Need some sort of chart for this.
Married a fan, fucks>>>Michael
Married a fan, doesn't fuck>>>>Jack
Didn't marry fan, fucks>>>>Ryan
Didn't marry fan, doesn't fuck>>>>Gavin

Yeah MST3K tried spontaneous riffing in Season 1 and guess what, it sucked. Tons of dead air, riffs were mostly observational and basic. They realized they had to script it out if they wanted humor.
