Definitely in a couple years. HOI5 will probably see Paradox make something for that. Right now I'd be doubtful.

Slight drama in the TFR sphere apparently the TFR Devs have completely condemned the flavour expansion submod for apparently including written CSAM (what the event is that caused this reaction I don't know) but this has lead to some TFX Devs being banned from the TFR discord server since TFX also integrates the flavour expansion submod.

I've seen some of the events, and disavowing it is certainly for the best. To name a few of the things I've seen for a second:
-Multiple events involving rape
-Events discussing actual paedophilia (this one was posted earlier in the thread)
-Events discussing child grooming
-Events discussing child brides and trafficking (with, surprise, more implications of rape! (I actually have a screenshot of this one but cannot in good conscience post it))

And while all of this is technically correct to the fucked up behaviour O9A engages in, I'm going to moralfag a bit and say I don't think it's worth putting in a mod - least of all because I'm sure owning a copy of it would probably be enough to be charged with some kind of crime if your country is nanny-state enough.
Supposedly (I've heard multiple narratives from multiple people so I really don't know) they're also trying to backpedal by claiming:
"Oh it was the work of a guy who isn't on the team anymore! And we didn't check the loc before uploading it! But we also intended to remove it!"
Which most certainly does not fly with me, for a number of reasons.
TLDR: shit's fucked, man.
honestly a shame as well because i tried out the mod once a few patches back and it was pretty neat, better writing than the slavjank community submitted russian events, and this has most certainly killed it now.

I'd say there's a bit of a difference. Can you find Lolita at your nearest sizable library? Are you going to get arrested for owning Lolita? I understand the fear, but I think it is kind of unfounded to think that this would qualify as actual CSAM when it's really more of a handling of the subject in a literary work. Not going to blame anyone that doesn't want to associate with it (such as the TFR team, they have always been kind of skittish to really tackle the universe they've built and have hidden that attitude under a layer of vague platitudes).

The first and third image would have been fine if that was all the content regarding CSAM.
The first should have been the conclusion to another event where Attomwaffen was engaging with this pedo for crypto by sending him CSAM and later they kill him when he stops being useful, a good example to show how the nature of O9A and similar groups.
Same goes for the third, there is clearly some EDGE coming through (Temple ov Blood/Rapekrieg) but it is otherwise fine, again shows the nature of these groups.
The second image, trash that shit, it is EDGY for the sake of being it (or it the writer's thinly veiled fetish). It insist upon itself.

They can't even get their edge right, the IRL Mr. Swirl did rape boys, not girls (and, much to my chagrin, i just found he's been out of prison for 8 years, what the absolute fuck? Canada is such a fucking joke), if you add shit like this at least apply yourself. The other two events posted are just
, very on-brand for Atomwaffen.

I feel bad for the TFR devs. They are a pretty creative bunch who just make stuff to have a lot of fun with. One of their music videos got featured in a MATI stream opening.
That being said this is really weird that this made it into the mod version. It's really fucking easy to check if mod files are in a mod or not and no one cared enough to check and make sure is kind of strange.
It makes sense to have a O9A faction but it is weird in the way they are depicted. I 100% think someone tied into that sphere was influencing someone to write this stuff into the mod as a kind of larping tool. Whenever you have something like this the most schizophrenic explanation is often the best.
To be fair the different political factions of people often don't get along and in all honesty HOI4 functions best as a sandbox much like early fallout games which let you do whatever you want.
That has got to be the most monkey-brained thing someone could do. I can understand someone who has never written a mod for a pdx game thinking that would be an interesting idea. But modding is the simplest of possible "programming" especially pdx games. The writing and actually editing of the text files takes longer than any actual programming. Modding is stupidly simple.
