People have died in both events because they showed up for a fist fight against someone with a gun. We can comedicly simplify it by saying things like "boomer tour" but Ashli Babbit got shot point-blank in the face for yelling at a fed. The election and the immigration debacle are both heated, cyclical arguments with no solution because neither side will budge on their position. The point I was making was if we want to keep any kind of civility, it's just easier to say "screw it" and go elsewhere. I'm not fighting some nerd who sees nothing wrong with teaching about anal sex at a library. Me beating them up isn't going to change them, that's up to God at that point.
And you're talking colored teams, I'm talking the opposite. We're talking beliefs on basic principal not "split the nation to democrats and republicans." Use Korea as a very basic example. They're split into the north and south and while both countries (yes even the north doesn't just have one monolithic political party) have political differences but agree on basic principals that allow them to live and function in the same society. My segregation comment is unrealistic, hyperbolic, and hypothetical, but that would be the idea model. Split us up and see who really can sink or swim off of their societal views. Let them collapse under their own BS and when they come crawling back because they're starving and don't understand how unvetted migration didn't turn their society into a utopia, then we can talk terms. Until then, I've had enough and don't want to share society with these people anymore.
