“Hot” is quite the stretch if it’s referring to AOC. As far as the average politician goes, she looks like a supermodel, but if we’re basing it off of celebrity attractiveness, she’s incredibly average.

I don’t think she’s outright ugly, but her lack of attractiveness would be more easily overlooked if she at least had decent ideas and policies. Politically, she’s like if Bernie Sanders and Nancy Pelosi had a baby. She’s “safe edgy” for the DNC because on the outside she can look like she’s challenging the status quo, all while voting for the status quo in Congress (and probably getting rich off of insider trading). She doesn’t inspire anything inside me aside from annoyance. She isn’t even a fun person to hate on because that’s too much energy wasted on someone that is otherwise bland outside of occasional antics.

been watching alot of Ukraine war footage and this shot of a young soldier hiding in a basent with his sweeheart as regular artilery shells blast their area just sunders me

I wonder in that moment how little he cares what she looks like and only that he has someone to hold

its fucking SURREAL to watch, you can HEAR the cannon fire at them in the distance and they all visually "duck down" and you hear its shattering impact and their leader jokes "this one was not for us". then it just keeps happening. Eventually it get so close it knocks their power out.

right as the the impacts get so close you FEEL them as a viewer, a second lounder set of shots is heard, they all start tapping their wrist and shouting and whooping in excitment, "OURS, FINALLY!" they shout. The counter battery's begin to sing their deadly song and the whole bunker relaxes a bit.

I truly think, in that moment, there have been kings of vast lands that did not feel the elation this young soldier did.
