OP, did you end up getting them? I’ve got a few piercings myself, plus a failed sternum piercing. The keloid scarring has mostly faded now, but for a while it honestly looked like I’d had heart surgery.

I’m planning on getting a few more in the tops of my ears. As for the gunk, good hygiene definitely keeps it under control, but I also found that using a soft plastic bar with a steel ball on the end made cleaning so much easier.

I can’t remember what they’re called, but I had one for my sternum piercing and it made the healing process so much more comfortable than using studs or regular earrings.

At least you didn't end up with a turd keloid.

I used to have pierced ears in my childhood, but stopped wearing earrings for many years. The holes on my earlobes have closed up completely by now. It's been a really long time, so I don't remember much about maintenance/where it was done, although I don't recall having to do any myself.

I don't see myself getting them re-pierced anytime soon, but sometimes I feel like wanting to wear some cute earrings, so I've been wondering about clip-ons. Do you guys know of some reputable websites/stores for clip-on earrings?
