Wyróżniono dnia 3 Lut 2026 przez Null: The Kiwi Farms is 13 years old.
On this day, 13 years ago, the forum went public and the denizens of the CWCki Forums migrated over permanently.
https://kiwifarms.st/threads/welcome-to-the-new-permanent-cwcki-forums.1/
That's a lifetime on the Internet. There's users on this website who were six years old in February 2013. Despite the natural volatility of such a community, we've managed to hold together through unbelievable circumstances. After the last few years, I'm certain we'll be around for much longer. We have become a fixture of the Internet and our ups and downs will always look small on our full timeline.
We have since become the de facto standard for all Internet drama. There's been at least one time where a significant portion of the English-speaking Internet has come to the Kiwi Farms to read about something they've heard rumors of. More than 12,000 people sign in to their accounts and make more than 8000 public posts every day. This is what the Kiwi Farms actually is: the culmination of who is there and what they have to say. There are still people here who have been around longer than I have, whose first posts can be found on the forum's first thread I linked.
The Kiwi Farms has been provided for free since its inception. I have resisted calls and trends to wall off site content. You don't even need an account to view attachments. You can't say the same for Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, which operate on budgets measured in tens of millions of dollars.
We don't have millions of dollars and I have navigated an increasingly complex set of challenges on crypto donations. While I have kept the forum up, I have had to defer much-requested features like better video playback and media-only thread skimming. When disks fail and I have to buy new harddrives, I have to take the $3000 bill on the chin and make it work.
Late last year, I developed a way to receive checks in the mail in exchange for rewards. It would be immensely helpful if those users who log into the forum every single day set up an automated payment of $20/mo. Right now we are at about 260 monthly donors out of my goal of 600. This amount would stabilize our expenses, help offset our continuous legal costs, allow me to reinvest into the forum, and continually upgrade it. I have plans for new features that I simply cannot accomplish without more hardware and more bandwidth. It's very easy to do and this foundation does matter a lot. 600 people doing $20/mo helps ensure the forum celebrates a 15th and 20th anniversary.
I like to take our birthdays to reflect on the forum's history and share some of my favorite things that I can remember. I hope there's something below you've never seen before and find entertainment in.
The "FUN!"-eral, Aug 2013.
An a-log plans a funeral crashing event after Chris-Chan dies.
Brianna Wu tried to assassinate me via street racing, January 2015 (thread)
MDE-affiliate pretended to be a lolcow for two years, culminating in a car crash he decided to play off as content. Brianna Wu got the FBI involved after this video and it basically ended Deagle Nation.
Madcasts, originally pre-2013, lost media discovered on junk drives in 2025 (thread)
I had spent ten years trying to find these and eventually KinderMoose on the forum did recover them. Madcast is my favorite video game rage content of all time.
DETECTIVE GORMAN, I HEAR YOUR WIFES A BABY RAPER LIKE THIS DOG, pre-2015. (thread)
Fedsmoker hated two things: babyrapers, and feds. He drove around the country exposing babyrapers and feds, such as that dog. One of the best clips ever put on the Internet.
Maria Mint, 2016 (thread)
During GamerGate, Nintendo employee Alison Rapp published articles about how Gamers(tm) suck. It turned out she was a literal prostitute and Nintendo considered this moonlighting, so they fired her. She had also written a thesis on why the UN should stop pressuring Japan to censor child pornography. Very wild ride.
Shmorky is Daisy Mae, December 2016. (thread)
Shmorky was an early Internet cartoonist famous for contributing to SomethingAwful's Flash Tub. He eventually became an agender weirdo who would talk in an excruciating squeaky voice. It was revealed on the Kiwi Farms that Shmorky was actually heavily into age play and diaper play and would roleplay about eating poop with under-18s. This caused @Lowtax to join the forum and thank us for exposing him (as Shmorky was someone he had let around his kids). Lowtax joining the forum caused the tranny weirdos on SomethingAwful to throw a fit.
What do you want from me?, time immemorial.
I can't mention Shmorky without mentioning this call with his ex, who was also on the forum, @Amanda Mullen. She was a bona fide schizophrenic and this call Shmorky recorded with her is one of the craziest things ever uploaded to the Internet. For some reason he thought this would look good.
Aunt Tammie joins the Kiwi Farms, Jun 2017. (thread)
Amberlynn Reid, one of the most famous lolcows from the girlsphere on YouTube, had her own aunt join the Kiwi Farms to shit talk her, leading to one of my favorite quotes of all time, years later: "joining the Kiwi Farms wasn't the nicest thing for an auntie to do".
DarksydePhil Escort Saga / MysteryWoman. Dec 2017.
A woman joins the Kiwi Farms and demands, in broken English, that DarksydePhil pay her money he owes her for escort services. This included random photos of a young woman and pictures of a small baseball bat lodged in a vagina. However, DarksydePhil caught a lucky break, and users deduced that that escort was a middle-aged woman using photos of her own daughter combined with pictures of her vagina to pass herself off as a young woman and an escort. The entire incident was a fake extortion racket from a very strange Dutch couple with a long history.
Christchurch, 2019 (thread)
Not the shooting, but the aftermath. There was a brief point where the Kiwi Farms was the single most visible distribution point (perhaps the only place online) for the Christchurch shooting video. We received more traffic (35,000+ concurrent visitors) trying to access the site at once than we have ever experienced since. I ended up setting up a torrent and putting it on every public tracker I could find, personally updating hundreds of gigabytes of data just by myself. This is probably the site's most infamous moment and it cemented our reputation as a place where stuff goes up and does not come down. The decision to keep it up was very controversial and even some people around today think I was an idiot for it.
Lowtax and Logan Day, Jun 2020 - Nov 2021.
@Lowtax, owner of SomethingAwful, had joined the Kiwi Farms in 2017. The ongoing drama with SomethingAwful was one of my favorite slow burns in the site's history. This culiminated in late 2020, early 2021 when his new girlfriend Logan Day @Mormon BPD Cokewhore (she picked that name herself). Logan Day had a falling out with Lowtax and talked with me about it on my podcast. She had pitched him big ideas about reforming SomethingAwful to meet modern web trends, which he was all for. In November 2021, he committed suicide by gunshot.
SORRY GATOR! MY ARRIVAL IS FUCKING IMMINENT!, 2022 (or earlier?). (board)
Ralph was one the king of what you might call the commentary community today. With southern charm and a steady supply of Kentucky bourbon, Ralph once made thousands of dollars a night. Today, he streams to fewer than 100 people on a good day from a shed in Mexico dodging family court from two different women. Perhaps the iconic moment, well past his prime but when he still had some cards to play, was the heelturn on Gator. Gator had been his steadfast companion for longer than any of his marriages had lasted (combined), but that didn't stop the manic bridgeburner from doxing him and posting a video that is referenced constantly. SORRY GATOR!
#DropKiwiFarms / #EndKiwiFarms / Matthew Prince Lied, 2022-2023.
Tranny prostitute Keffals and multi-millionaire ex-Google employee Liz Fong-Jones, with the help of established media mouthpieces like Ben Collins and Taylor Lorenz, launched a campaign to kill the forum, alleging it was a terrorist hive dedicated to driving trannies to suicide. This led to tech billionaire Matthew Prince openly lying about the Kiwi Farms being an "imminent threat to human life" to justify cutting our security services. The following months led to some of the darkest times for both me personally, the forum as a whole, and what I honestly believe to be for the entire Internet. A coordinated group of busybodies almost succeeded in cutting a website they did not like from the very fabric of the Internet, without any legal basis for doing so, by harassing backbone level ISPs.
Anime sucks... cope... and sneed, 2024. (thread)
During the absolute zenith of Nick Rekieta's downfall, precipitating his arrest, a fat dragon fart fetishist managed to sneak in a $5 superchat. Rekieta, looping hard on intoxicants, read this $5 superchat I think 9 different times before randomly masturbating to what was almost certainly a picture of a fat purple dragon in a car eating pizza and farting. The stream ends suddenly after.
4chan hacked, 2025. (toohoo music)
Completing a cycle where /qa/'s weird soyjak culture split off to make the Soyjak Party, the Sharty users then hack 4chan to bring back /qa/ and embed toohoo music, which is probably the last time I will get to experience pure mid-2000s chan culture again before I die. It was immensely cathartic.
