I also have a couple of stories of men being unable to handle rejection, it's frustrating how common they are.

There was this time when a guy that was just an acquaintance from a big japanese fashion friend group said he liked me, didn't even wait for an answer, and wanted to go and announce we were together. There was also this random creep that followed me for about 20 minutes while I was in the park. I told him right away that I had a boyfriend and wasn't interested, but he just said he thought I was lying and kept following me while asking me personal questions. Even if it was a lie, what did he think would happen? "Ah, you got me, now I am obligated to date you" like I have to follow some weird fae rules or something? And it was the kind of situation that'd be very scary if we weren't in a crowded place too.
