To be fair Josh did pick up on the Dick Masterson mention and doubted their story. He can't just come out and call them a liar as he has to hold some level of decorum when interviewing people or others won't go on in the future.

Today's events, including Brandon Buckingham doxing her (not confirmed) were likely coordinated in extreme faggotry level discord chats.

very stupid of him to say, but whether its bad honestly depends on the order of events. If he kept quiet because tom had debunked all of the allegations in private and was waiting for it to drop, it makes sense to just not say anything. In the counterfactual where tom was in the wrong and he still kept is mouth shut or if he was trying to run defense in the background before tom showed him the proof he was innocent, both would be bad. But we don't know the counterfactual or order of events.
