It sounds like a you issue as I don't have any of these problems other than videos sometimes taking a while to load in the beginning. Everything else is because of bad internet connections from cedrtain VPN locations. Maybe it's worse when you aren't signed in?

No, I wasn't using a VPN at the time, and even when I do use a VPN invidious still runs better, and at higher quality than when I tried raw-dogging on Youtube itself. Something is definitely wrong on their end.

I have to basically overclock my pc and run theater mode to not get any frame drops. I get basically 15 fps from the dropped frames otherwise

But with ANYTHING else I can do it just fine with a crypto miner running and cpu set to like 30% power. The YouTube player experience is fucking awful.

It boggles the mind that this is the "intended experience" and Google does everything in their power to make using alternatives unusable or at least miserable to use. I feel zero remorse for anyone working at this company, this is just incompetence and maliciousness.

OR it's JUST because he's on a VPN. VPNs are getting discriminated against hard by big sites. Just yesterday I tried to register an Instagram account. I couldn't complete the process because their e-mail confirmation codes wouldn't work. I entered the code and they said "wrong code". I tried three different ones and gave up. Can't they simply say "disable your VPN to continue"? I'm still not going to do it, but the way they do it now could make someone think there's a problem on Instagram's end.

Same with X. The moment you post your first message, they "detect suspicious traffic" and make you solve endless captchas. A simple "your IP is on our shitlist" would suffice.

Funny how there was a trend where youtubers were shilling VPNs hard before/after each video, and now the people they were advertising to can't even use the damn things because every place they want to go to is blocked.

because they have this weird shit of tying you to a bubble, you see two videos of a recommended channel and jeettube thinks you are in love with the channel and will only recommend you shit from it rather than things that might pertain the same subject and obviously sell that tracking data based off your IP...

Yes, I'm aware it probably had something to do with some kind of plan to make viewers focus on new videos for monetization purposes etc.

I've always used the list for sub view and grid for general recommended. Now it's not even easy to, at a glance, tell which you're looking at.

I've used the extenson: YouTube Row Fixer for some time which at least lets you mod how many videos it shows per row, but this is so lame. Why do they want websites to have the least amount of user layout control all the time?
