You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

When the useless, geriatric figure head of my company decides to grace us with her presence. Idk what the fuck this hunch backed hag does other than get in peoples way and waste time talking about useless old lady shit no one cares about, in between making retarded suggestions for product alterations that make zero sense and aren't feasible and pulling people off their jobs to help her with her menial chores she comes up with moment to moment. Like having people walk her fucking dog.
Trot the old bag out when you've got investor meetings and shit. Not during day to day operations. Doesn't she have grandkids to babysit and spoil? Fucking hell.
How old is she and what does she look like?

Watched a bodycam video from the African American Appreciation Thread about an open container violation in which the words "drinking" and "alcohol" were half-assedly censored. This self-censorship shit is reaching levels that are metaphysical planes beyond what the most ridiculous parody could have predicted a mere twenty years ago. I listen to old radio serials from the 1930s and 40s, the Lone Ranger and Sam Spade and such. Even on kid-friendly radio shows from a much more uptight and censorious time, they would say the words "kill," "die," "death," "suicide," "dead," and so on, and someone was always drinking moonshine or scotch. People are self-censoring words that were considered perfectly acceptable for children's entertainment in the Hays Code era. It's beyond preposterous. Anyone who participates in it should be mocked until they die from it.

I remember being 16, just got my license, sitting at the first light before leaving my neighborhood, noticing my door was still unlocked, hearing my father's voice in my head, "Always lock your door and fasten your belt before leaving pumpkin."

Click.

"You scared of the black man?!?"

Nigga outta nowhere at the crosswalk freaking the fuck out. He started approaching my car as the light turned green and I'm smiling and shouting "it ain't like that!" as if that mattered to him.

Now that I think about it, it was pretty impressive he was at a crosswalk. There have been about two dozen black folks killed crossing that very street anywhere but the crosswalk since I was born. They built a fence 20 years ago and they jump it because they just have to die in the street I guess.
"you scared of the black man?!"
>starts approaching your car
dumbass don't even realize he proved your point, whether intentional or not.

I wasn't racist to begin with, not in that libshit "I don't see color" way. I'm fine with black people. I hate niggers (hoodrats, trailer park white trash, etc) ALL I AM ASKING IS FOR YOU TO ACT LIKE A GODDAMN HUMAN BEING. Control your emotions. Give and receive mutual respect. Be kind. THAT'S IT. THAT'S ALL.

Getting really sick of when I follow otherwise apolitical content creators from Canada, and they randomly start sperging about "Not for sale", "No 51st state", or muh "Elbows Up!" shit on social media. As an American, I really don't give a rat's ass about Canada normally, and I don't think anyone here is actually sincere with talks of making them our 51st state. If someone makes jokes about Infidel Castreau or the fact that Canada is a de-facto vassal state of India then I'll be the first person to laugh -- believe me. Otherwise, I have no desire to invade or acquire their nation.

I'm getting fatigue from self-censorship. I was watching a music review Youtube channel recently, the the guy was describing a song by saying something gay like, "In the song lyrics he reached for a... well, I can't say it, but it's spelled 'G-U-N', and he unalived her!" -- but later in the video he was talking about the fucking band Guns N' Roses, where he clearly repeatedly said the word "gun". Jesus Christ, have some basic self awareness.

Don't even know why this irks me, it's not a big deal, but come on, apparently fucking nobody has ever watched any classic movies at all.

My algorithm is being barraged with "First time watching" videos, and i refuse to believe none of these people have ever watched flicks like Back to the Future, Rocky, Indiana Jones... I guess pretending to be "introduced" to them gets more views, but there's something that annoys me about that, and i don't even know why.

There's a similar thing going on with videogames too, where im supposed to believe these many gaming channels starting a GTA 4/5 playthrough with "IVE NEVER PLAYED THIS BEFORE!!!"

They don't even have the balls now to say 'rape' or 'murder'. Those are censored too. Sometimes they'll censor even 'drugs'. People are picking the dumbest hills to die on with this shit.

Censoring words aren't going to and have not ever, prevented the actions people will take or have taken. We just continue dumbing our language down more and more, every week. Eventually we're going to just point at things and make dumb expressions and cavemen like sounds. Like someone points at a gun in someone's holster that's clipped to their belt and they go "un un! he has un un!".

Back to the Future, Rocky, Indiana Jones
Dude, people have diffirent tastes. I never watched Rocky or Indiana, and only saw BTF as a kid. Not planning to, either.
It is like disbelieving people never watched "Fifth element", which is well-loved here and was on TV all the time.

There's a similar thing going on with videogames too, where im supposed to believe these many gaming channels starting a GTA 4/5 playthrough with "IVE NEVER PLAYED THIS BEFORE!!!"
Ok, with gaming channel, that does seem to be strange. But again, preferences. I never played anything GTA, closest was Simpsons Hit And Run.

The worst is those "first time listening to" channels, and all they do is review classic rock. You're telling me that you haven't even been exposed secondhand to these songs? Like there's no way they haven't heard Stairway to Heaven or Highway to Hell.

I've seen YouTubers who play almost nothing but Hearts of Iron self-censor the word "war." It's a game set in World War II -- or as one of them called it, "The Great Kerfuffle."

I doubt most of the people doing it are under the illusion censoring "rape" and "murder" will prevent rapes and murders. I think half of it is people trying to keep things advertiser-friendly. I don't know how true it is, but people are convinced that if you say naughty no-no words like "drug" in your video, YouTube will kick your video into a black hole so as not to offend the delicate sensibilities of the Pfizer corporation. Joe Jackass the Bodycam Man really wants to inform people about a horrible rape-murder, but he definitely isn't going to do it for free. It's important to speak about this thing he's pretending is unspeakable, but he can't risk the algorithm hiding it or risk losing out on that $0.05 in ad revenue.

I think the other half of it is just people following what those retards are doing, trying to fit in. It's all so twisted and farcical and undignified. Drives me up the goddamn wall.

Something I think represents the deterioration of society and humanity in general is when people are absolutely culturally illiterate about their own culture. They're literally unfamiliar with anything that happened before they were born.

They can't even understand cultural references in >current year shit because they don't even recognize them. And I don't mean "doesn't recognize my favorite '80s alt-rock group" but really basic cultural shit like Shakespeare or even the Bible, much less other core shit from Greece and Rome. They have no grounding in the fact that this civilization is based on literally thousands of years of history.

This civilization is doomed when the vast majority of our so-called "citizens" don't know a goddamn thing about our Constitution, our actual laws, our history, our culture and mores, and what's more, they think it's actually a virtue to be completely ignorant, violent apes.

While I cite the U.S. Constitution, every country currently worthy of the title of civilization has at least some form of written Constitution, even if it's something like the UK where it's in several documents (like the Magna Carta) not all of which are actually absolutely binding.

There's a reason our governments have dumbed down education to turn most people into absolutely brainwashed morons who think they're revolutionaries while being on the puppet strings of "establishment" that isn't the real government, like the so-called "Fourth Estate" (that's Lügenpresse in >current year).

Whenever this channel pops up on I get so idiotically angry, like bad for my health angry

Am I supposed to believe that a professional drummer, an artsy-fartsy cirque du soleil one at that, has never heard "Tonight, Tonight" before?
They have tons of those dumbass videos and they just keep popping up no matter how many times I tell youtube to not show me their shit

It's like a parasocial relationship with some retard who's apparently been living under a rock for the past 20 years.
What confuses me is that, half the time, they have the entire movie in their video. What the fuck?

We have such a wonderful language and there are so many great words we can invent and these people pick the worst one.
It's the lack of exposure to anything new or challenging linguistically. Seriously, use a several syllable world and people loose their minds.

I can peg it squarely on the rise of AI use in writing, as they really all have the same cadence and flow. Combine that with production on most of the AI slop being ESL content goblins.

It's created this horrible feedback loop, much like the yellowing on AI imagine generation. It's quite horrifying and fascinating at the same time.
