The boomers are worrying because they don't care to understand how any of this works. They only know Medicaid is tough right now and so are the grocery bills, their numbers aren't going up as much, but they don't have the wits to connect or understand why. They still believe old media like CNN and complain they're not voting for Trump next time. I've overheard so many boomer women say Zelensky and Walz LOOK like good, kind hearted people so surely they must be!
It's excellent foresight that there's been major efforts to politically educate younger generations, hopefully it's enough to go against the boomers and pet gibs since if I recall correctly, young people are the least likely to go out and vote and our nation's kids are certainly demoralized. But I see those leaked videos of zoomers refusing the propaganda of their activist teachers and have a little hope. Who knows how long they've been brainwashing kids to be so comfortable.

Most zoomers I know hate boomers. Despise boomers. Some want TBD. Mostly the younger ones who had their final or first years of high school ruined because boomers were in a frenzy about a .1% chance of dying a decade early.

As well, teens tend to rebel naturally to any stuffy authoritative, finger wagging overseers.

The same millennial teachers who used to laugh and make fun of the religious right silent Gen teachers who told them premarital sex, pop music, and Harry Potter are satanic back when they were in school are now at the receiving end of said rebelling behavior for saying liking so and so or disliking so and so makes you racist/transphobic/xenophobic.

Achilles was likely a real person. The Greeks have real heroes and America has real heroes: the founding fathers, Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett, Jackson, Lincoln, Eisenhower, Patton, MacArthur. You can have both.

“Governor Walz had a productive call with President Trump earlier today. The Governor made the case that we need impartial investigations of the Minneapolis shootings involving federal agents, and that we need to reduce the number of federal agents in Minnesota.

The President agreed that he would talk to his Department of Homeland Security about ensuring the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is able to conduct an independent investigation, as would ordinarily be the case.

The President also agreed to look into reducing the number of federal agents in Minnesota and working with the state in a more coordinated fashion on immigration enforcement regarding violent criminals.

The Governor reminded President Trump that the Minnesota Department of Corrections already honors federal detainers by notifying Immigration and Customs Enforcement when a person committed to its custody isn't a U.S. citizen.

There is not a single documented case of the department's releasing someone from state prison without offering to ensure a smooth transfer of custody.”

TLDR: The officers will be thrown to the wolves (state courts) and ICE will flee with their tails between their legs.

This is actually the opposite of what I predicted. I thought Walz would never cave because that would be defeat politically. And there is sooo much dirt on his career as a teacher, that’s how he was so easily manipulated to accept Somalians and accept the VP ticket next to Kammie when nobody else wanted it.

He is going to be a man without a party, or a country. His own family hates him. I don’t know what kind of future he has now if he loses governorship

The City of Beaverton, Oregon, passed a new ordinance codifying their "Sanctuary Promise Act," which includes the following:
-Prohibits ICE from using city property
-Prohibits city from providing any information to ICE for immigration enforcement
-Prevents city from holding illegals in custody if they have an ICE detainer hold
-Prohibits city staff from collecting info on immigration status
-Trains city staff on how to report ICE agents and immigration activity.

How the fuck is any of this legal

So basically in Beaverton if you have an ICE detainer hold on you, you can commit any crime and will not be held, no matter how severe?
