I'm starting to understand why Null hates this place. Some of you are literally incapable of any type of civilized discourse.
Anyway, the protesters in Portland are trying to break into the ICE Facility there because they think nobody is home. They've rolled a big dumpster in front of the main gates; it's unclear whether they intend to start a fire in it, or use it to climb over the gate. Meanwhile, a small group is going around the building, prying at plywood shields (I assume these are boarded-up windows) and also the unprotected corners of the back of the building. If they get inside, I can guarantee it won't work out the water they thought it would. There's a good potential another person will get shot there in Oregon tonight.
Back in Minnesota, someone dropped off a positively giant load of firewood in downtown Minneapolis. Since it's -20F there tonight, there are already little trashcan fires here and there. The protesters have "barricaded" themselves with dumpsters and pallets and declared it an autonomous zone. On the outer edges of the protest, Minneapolis police are stopping cars and turning them back from joining the protest. Large National Guard vehicles have been caught on video roaming around the outskirts of Minneapolis, but nobody knows what they're doing. They're now chanting BURN DOWN FORT SNELLING!" which is where the ICE facility is. There's a pretty good chance of more fiery but peaceful protests in Minneapolis tonight.
There's a fairly tepid protest going on in LA, too, but nothing big will happen there, even though they have the best weather at 61F.
Edit: I was wrong about LA, they're breaking the windows of the ICE facility.
