My theory is that one agent grabbed the gun, but in the confusion all that the other agents heard was "Got a gun here!" and then they see the Somali Defender reaching for his pockets and assume he is still armed.

Apologies if I'm late on this but as I skimmed through this thread and on twitter I've seen a lot of strange fixation on the firearm in that it's expensive or not something a larper would use and honestly that's just retarded information at least from my perspective.

As for it having optics, that's just pretty normal when I carried a decade ago no one had optics and now many people (me included) do carry an optic as they're quite reliable and smaller compared to years past, also really any standard polymer framed striker fired pistol will have mounting options or at least plate adapters or slides that will mount optics.

The sig custom works line aren't custom they are overpriced garbage in probably the most controversial handgun in modern times with tons of well known issues. This is a very standard mall ninja type purchase that someone will make because they think it looks cool or for those of you who've never been in a gun store these people will try to sell you whatever is expensive and "cool" because they want to make money, if you go into a gun store with 0 knowledge especially a chain you should expect to be handed an expensive gun like this to see if you'll drop 3 grand on something tacticool.

My go to right now is a Springfield Eschelon, I also highly recommend Glocks whether bought or there are tons of resources to complete an 80% or print your own parts. For a cheaper option I've shot and enjoyed the Arex Delta Gen 2s are good but they mostly sold out over the holidays might have to wait. Forgotten Weapons is a good resource, or pick a guntuber there are a million options.

Get armed any way you can, if you pull a gun out and point it at law enforcement doing their standard duties you will likely be shot and you'll deserve it. As for "they had a CCW" very cool I've had mine for a decade the barrier of entry is a fingerprint card and like 25 bucks lol. Just don't be a criminal they aren't hard to get. Indiana has really good reciprocity highly recommend.
