I'm pretty sure "settlement" payments for various things are already "tax free" but maybe that's only for ones coming out of court settlements? I know some insurance payouts are.

Anyway, if they hire a competent lawyer he will be able to jew that into meaning "not involving the insurance companies" or something perhaps a bit illicit but legal.

Rusty doesn't seem to understand that you can't ask for money not to report a compliance issue to the government. You can settle ADA shit, etc... privately with a company. That's fine since that is a personal/individual grievance. But statutory compliance with OSHA, ACA, etc... you can't ask for money to not report that. The only thing you can legally (and morally) do is report it to the responsible oversight agency and let them do their thing. The only words for someone that does ask for money not to report that is blackmail and extortion.

It's like his pending extortion attempt against the Farms. You can't ask for money not to report something you legitimately think is an actual crime. It doesn't work that way. You have a legal (and moral) obligation to report breach of law to the responsible police agency and let them handle it. Asking for money not to contact the police is black letter blackmail and extortion.

Grievances, etc... you can settle privately, but actual breaches of the criminal law, violations of statutory employment law, etc... you can't ask for money to not say anything. I thought this was common knowledge, let alone something The Brothel Prince should know since he is a "paralegal"

Does he realize they're going to bring the legion of women that work for them that filed sexual harassment concerns with HR about him trying to recruit them to be whores for his future superbrothel up on the stand to explain how fucking weird he is and how hostile the work environment he made was?
