I know a guy who is a military contractor in his garage

His small business went through the exhaustive approvals process to bid on this one part, and his entire small business is making one small part. It’s reliable because the process takes years and thousands of dollars to just apply for approval regardless of winning a bid. He inherited the business from a former partner, and says he probably wouldn’t survive a re application/ re bid process.

We need a system with less up front hurdles and more auditing
Doing anything for the big OEM's requires a massive administrative overhead burden. Once you get approved for a process or part (IE machining, welding, electrical assembly, ect...), that approval does get you into other bids without having to start over on the process though.

The bulk of the admin overhead comes from QA requirements. The amount of paperwork and tracibility needed for anything is just insane. I get it, because you don't want the Grade 8 bolt you're using to secure a turret ring to be made from pot metal, but these OEMs don't translate the admin overhead to an actual cost. They want it for $0.02 cents each and Labor/Burden rates be damned.

China apparently thinks this makes us look bad, lololol
I think this type of art coming from China is more like some form of flattery. Unlike western bugmen, the eastern bugmen know and respect strength when they see it. Example, Japan got completely calmed down and basically domesticated after the threat of dropping more than two nukes, plus the emperor finding an American sitting in his chair and crushing his desk with his giant steel balls.

Since we haven't done the same thing to China yet, they'll continue flattering us the same way Indians flatter. Then, while we're not looking, the bugmen will shank us in the kidney. As they do.

Show me another example of China flattering us.

This meme is more likely internal subversion.

Like I mean, individually, Chinese engineers are as smart as anyone. The reason everything they do is a continuous pratfall is because functionally retarded CCP goons insist on micro managing and inserting themselves into the process

China is ruled by nepotism and the inverted caste system. It’s unhelpful that rising in the party often depends on having connections to the Great Leap Forward era. They inverted the caste system and put the retards at the top

Sorry bro, I haven't studied China that much. I'm only commenting on the minor phenomenon of China producing comically explosive American artwork. I always see people asking "do they think this is making fun of Americans?" so I'm applying Occam's Razor and assuming that nah, not even the bugmen are that ignorant, there has to be some other reason.

That was a harsh lesson Japan learned twice. They aren't keen on learning it again. Funny how being the test subjects for a new and horrific weapon mellows you right the fuck out.
Sure, only AFTER Trump gets royally fucked over. But whatever....just take the w where we can get it, I guess.
At least he's putting a stop to it instead of only caring about his own election. Paying it forward so that it doesn't happen again.

As a preeminent Sinophobe who’s Twitter feed is almost entirely Chinese propaganda, the official party position hasn’t evolved past wolf warrior mode

Unlikely. The GDR was Socialist and way more nationalist and racist than both the BRD and modern European societies.

So is China. A country governed by a communist party.
there's a difference between how commies run their own institutions versus how they sabotage enemy institutions they infiltrate.

in their own institutions, their goal is to run them as effectively and efficiently as possible (within the confines of their marxist-leninist system)

with foreign institutions they infiltrate, their goal is to turn them against the people they were originally built to serve, prevent them from carrying out their purpose as originally intended, and generally make them weaken the nation they are part of, because weakening non communist nations to make an eventual commie takeover easier is the whole purpose of commie infiltrators.

I think it's very interesting that the District and Appellate courts wanted to continue to advance the "You can't sue before, because it hasn't happened yet; you can't sue during because it's already happening; you can't sue after because it already has happened" theory that was the death kneel of 2020 election lawsuits.

Very good that SCOTUS has (finally) killed this idea. Now here's to hoping the Judges obey
