Law enforcement brutality has been on a gradual increase since '97 and the North Hollywood Shootout. The entire nation watched as the standard police force at the time was outgunned easily by these guys and was directly cited as the reason why LEO agencies began requesting high powered rifles en masse in the 2000's. Since then, it's been a gradual militarization of local police forces everywhere with weapons and vehicles previously associated only with the theater of war being commonplace in their arsenal.
It's a shame though that currently the police are operating with both hands and legs hog-tied behind their back, having to fill out paperwork in triplicate and talk to a counselor if they raise their voice to a suspect and hurt their feelings.
it's not too bothersome for me to see it either, because i've never had anything but pleasant interactions with LEOs even when it was me they were 'interacting' with. if you don't chimp out, most of them are very cool, other than sometimes having an ego about being a cop and thinking that automatically makes their opinion on anything mean more (separate from the law they're enforcing).
how we don't have police secretaries doing this paperwork at this stage is beyond me. it's not like it would be any more expensive than hiring those stupid crisis de-escalation teams libtards want, and it'd make paperwork for shootings much easier to find and faster to get into the system. but it wouldn't directly benefit bulbheads and brownies, so libtards don't give a fuck how it might make law enforcement easier, what a silly thought that was.

The thing I think you’re getting at, I categorize more as “corruption” than exploitation in my own mind, because government is supposed to, at least in theory, balance negative societal effects and business interests. Instead, they decided to focus on messaging because they believe it’s easier to change our opinion than institute policy, and they don’t want to interrupt their donors.

Sorry to Squidward mode, but I worked in a supermarket before. While the world is constantly changing in negative ways, I believe it’s still the case that the meat department often gets large chunks of animal in boxes, and it’s up to the department manager to issue guidelines on how to cut it up in the best manner to get it all sold.
