A federal agent shot and killed a Minneapolis motorist when she allegedly tried to run over law enforcement officers during an immigration crackdown in the city, authorities said Wednesday.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot the woman in her vehicle in a residential neighborhood in Minneapolis, Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

Video posted online showed the vehicle crashed in a residential neighborhood. The shooting drew throngs of angry protesters to the scene in an area that is the latest target of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

There was a large presence of federal and local officers, yellow police tape and cars that had been in a crash in the residential neighborhood. Gregory Bovino, a senior U.S. Customs and Border Patrol official who has been the face of crackdowns in Los Angeles, Chicago and elsewhere, was among the group.

“We are aware of a shooting involving federal law enforcement near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue. Please avoid this area,” the city government said on X.

In a scene similar to the Los Angeles and Chicago crackdowns, bystanders didn't hold back in venting their anger, blowing whistles, taunting the federal agents.

“Shame! Shame! Shame!” and “ICE out of Minnesota!” they loudly chanted from behind the police tape, referring to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

After the shooting, Mayor Jacob Frey said immigration agents were “causing chaos in our city.”

“We are demanding ICE leave the city and state immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities," Frey said on social media.

The area where the shooting occurred is a modest neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis, just a few blocks from some of the oldest immigrant markets in the area and a mile from where George Floyd was killed by police in 2020.

“We’ve been trying to live life as fully as possible in light of the fear and anxiety that we feel,” said the Rev. Hierald Osorto, pastor at St. Paul’s-San Pablo Lutheran Church, which has a predominantly Latino congregation in the area.

The Immigration Defense Network, a coalition of groups serving immigrants in Minnesota, held a training session Tuesday night for about 100 people who are willing to hit the streets to monitor the federal enforcement.

“I feel like I'm an ordinary person, and I have the ability do something so I need to do it,” Mary Moran told KMSP-TV.

The Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday that it had launched an extraordinary immigration enforcement operation, with 2,000 agents and officers expected in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area for a crackdown tied in part to allegations of fraud involving Somali residents.

I see a lot of people mentioning that she was trying to protect the Somalian """neighbors"""
Is there any source saying this ICE crackdown was specifically to target the Somalian fraudsters? Or was it tangential?

they have to want to go to court in order to a get a day in court.

Its Minnesota. If she had just stood down at the right time, she would not have even been arrested let alone seen the inside of a courtroom. Honestly getting them to stop your car and drag you out and so on is the maximum annoyance you can cause them in that situation. Even for a hipster protester in Minneapolis, she was just really stupid.

Nah fuck that, he's guilty as hell. Him taking the second and third shot while being clear from danger is already a grave violation of standard ROE.
Bullshit. Law enforcement training in the use of deadly force generally mandates 3-4 shots to the center of mass. The head is a harder target and that's all he had. The instant he drew, a cluster of shots was inevitable. They don't take a single shot and then pause to contemplate.

How do these same utterly buttfuck retarded arguments come up in EVERY one of these threads?
Doesn't matter, it's federal. The cops had let her go for doing the same shit the previous day, but they aren't ICE. It would go to federal court and the jury wouldn't be a bunch of Minneapolis groids and troons, but would be drawn from the entirety of the district the federal court is in.
The case would drag on a long time and likely accomplish very little.
A criminal case would be basically a nonstarter.

A civil case is possible depending what kind of judge you drew, but would be subject to a QI defense. Depending on the politics around it, they might choose to settle, but I think this dyke is the wrong skin color to get a golden coffin like George Groid.

I'm late since I have a life, so allow me to belatedly retort:

You were sure as hell gleeful when Charlie Kirk was assassinated by once of your kind, for the crime of naively thinking he could simply sit down and debate you like a fellow human. You danced and danced, and even went further and tried to rub it in that the murderer was actually a non-leftist so you could conveniently wash your hands clean of him. So don't act shocked when we, upon seeing a dipshit leftist do everything she can to get killed, gets killed, and we mock her like you mocked Kirk. You disingenuous piece of shit.
The illusion that there's any kind of decorum or conversation to be had with these people was shattered months ago

You're not going to say "you laughed at Charlie Kirk dying last year, you're a hypocrite" and then they realize they're wrong and apologize, nothing you could say can convince them.

Just gonna send off with this: I think the only debate to even be had here with all this footage is whether Renee was trying to run the agent over.

I don't think she was; in the footage I made the analysis video on, her wheels are turned away from the agent. She was trying to get away from them imo but was not far enough away from the agent in front of her to not hit and clip him.
The agent also could have had zero idea what her plans were. All he knew was that there she was moving towards him with her vehicle and he had just been hit. In the video you can even tell he waits to shoot until after he's clipped.

Open and shut case. This whole thing is so fucked and fuck every politician and armchair redditor politicizing this.

They gave public school teachers today (Thursday) to prepare and Friday to riot. Public school teachers are the most retarded liberals in the West. Outside of activist lawyers, they are the most violent and unhinged people you will meet.

We are getting Black Hawk Down 2. There are even Somalis!

Possible. But unlikely. Charges could be brought within the state by state or local officials. But the case would be moved to federal court and the federal courts would be completely unsympathetic to that kind of case. The case would drag on a long time and likely accomplish very little.

The local progressives in Minnesota want charges brought. But its unclear if the local politicians and the state attorney general would actually do it. The scandal around Walz has also put local politics into disarray in the state.
I'd love for them to try.
It would completely kill the Democrats, because they would be on air talking about the case at all times, which would bring up the Deportation of Illegals, which in turn the vast majority of American voters support.

The last thing the Democrats should want is this case in courts.

So I've been putting together the chronology on Ms. Renee Good's life. Originally I was told she was a widow who had recently remarried.

She married her first husband and had two children with him.

Then she left him and abandoned the kids or got divorced and lost custody, I can't tell which, in order to marry a comedian.

Then she divorced this second husband, the comedian, to be with a woman. He killed himself, leaving her with the kid (she'd probably have abandoned it or lost custody again if that hadn't happened, based on previous performance).

Rebecca Good, the butch partner, was adopted and previously had a fiancee who is named Carrie and now lives in North Carolina.
You have to be an extra terrible person to lose custody as a woman. Seems like her whole life was about her being a narcissist thinking she can do what she wants and it finally caught up to her. No surprise the left idealizes the bitch so much. SHE'S LITERALLY ME! - all leftists

Yeah. I think they actually realize that and are not going to rush into that trap. The state democrats already have a mess with the financial scandal, Walz having to not run again and alot of stuff being up for grabs in the fall election. They currently don't even have a good candidate to run for governor. I think there is also a US Senate seat and the state attorney general in that election too.

What they absolutely don't want is for Walz to be the public face of the state party as they go into the next election. Because they have already figured out that Walz is so discredited at this point that all will do is drag everyone else down with him.

And having the black muslim former-woman-beating state attorney general step up as the man to take on trump would not be a good look either.

The current excuse they are trying out with their voters is that the FBI is refusing to cooperate with the state on the investigation and not giving them access to evidence. That might work as a justification for them to do nothing.
