What happens is little subs try to avoid getting global moderated (the trannies) while the global mods try their hardest to control another sub. Small, niche subs usually have really strict rules about no politics because that is how the trannies justify assuming direct control. However, the small subs need "active moderators" (which is subjective) to police the users and censor anything that resembles anti-globohomo conversation. Even if you have active moderators and you do the whole song and dance, the trannies will take over subs if they think there's too much anti-globohomo stuff on the sub. Then, of course, the community dies.
