One probem with the Cynical Historian is that his politics are very incoherent.

- Snowden should not have fled. He should have went to prison and become a martyr for free expression and transparency.
- Putin was right to censor the Death of Stalin for offending the sensibilities of the Russian people. Bad history belongs in the trash!
- Slava Ukraine! Putin is a tyrant! Snowden is traitor!
- Bigots who espouse violent ideologies should be banned!
- Kirk deserved it!!
- Fascism is when you oppose trans-rights
- I studied American violence. I am the final word on what violence is acceptable.

SirManatee is very clearly sympathetic to the German Social Democrats, Lavader is some kind of conservative monarchist and HistoriaCivilis is an American progressive/left-liberal. This all shines through in their work and they are pretty consistent. You can trace their politics to some noble greater good they believe in. Its not really the politics that are offensive, but retarded politics that only make arguments from authority. Politics based on hating and dominating others instead of some noble ideal are kinda just repulsive to most people.
It's easier to assume that Cynical Historian was once a sane guy until either the Death of Stalin or the Slavery video broke his brain and it has been deteriorating since. Maybe he needs to be put in a group home.

What are the most natural ideals? God kings overseeing vast estates of peasants?
Depends on your perspective.

I do like how the natural state of man can be either good or bad depending on where you look. I know English Liberals thought human beings were naturally good and evil was illogical/unnatural, and French Conservatives thought humans were naturally evil and good defied all reason. Though Maistre has a point about how things made by men can be easily undone by men, hence why relying too much on logic can be detrimental.

I love the CIA, what they do is A-Ok.
>Regime change when it’s a bloodless arrest of a dictator who lost his popular vote while rigging it is bad
>Regime change when it’s a glowie op which results in massive civil unrest and leads to a repressive commie or facist dictatorship taking over is good

It terrifies me this retard educates children.

Oh I'm sure they greased a few people but yeah, this was textbook American special forces doctrine.

Hope he starts singing Imagine in Guantanamo.

These takes are coming out of left field. I don't get the logic.
They’re just retarded. It’s straining the word “invading” to near breaking point to call what happened in Venezuela one. Almost every definition I’ve ever seen requires either mass mobilization of troops, aim of conquest, or both, for something to be an invasion in the proper military sense.
This is at most an invasion in the sense that eavesdropping is “invading” someone’s privacy. Realistically, this is a somewhat extraordinary execution of an arrest warrant, albeit it one that is arguably in a legal grey area and has massive geopolitical consequences.

I also love how CynicalHistorian hand waves Operation Just Cause, an actual invasion with the aim of toppling a dictator, because it was a “different world order.” Like nigger what? It’s not like that was done because of the Soviets, it’s arguably one of the first military actions by the US in the current world order that emerged as the Soviets fell.
