The Dem strategy is so outdated because they’ve been made complacent through a friendly media. So far, these are their ways of trying to get votes:

• TRUMP BAD (honestly, Bush 2 was their precedent for it, and they’ll probably still use this strategy when a new Republican takes office)
• Double down on unpopular platforms in order to court the more extreme wing of the group (while alienating everyone else)
• Call anyone opposing their ideas “racist,” “sexist,” “—-phobic”
• Not change any of their solutions to the problems they say exist, and insist those solutions work (such as the insistence on solar/wind for green energy, while demonizing nuclear)
• Become hostile to anyone with a different POV, because they’ve equated talking with people who have opposing views as “platforming Nazis”
• Try to reclaim words like “based” and “redpilled” in order to come across as more “chill”’
• Take memes originating on more right wing places and changing them to be left leaning (such as the Chad/virgin memes)

Most of these strategies could be from 2015/2016, if not earlier. They’ve now become the more out-of-touch party, and are attempting the equivalent of “fellow kids” like Republicans were doing during the Obama era

the only claim i've managed to find so far is this one. notice how they include both military and civilians in the statistic, to muddy up how many of each were killed. if they wanted to be truly unbiased in the reporting (as in, the venezuelan 'officials') they would just outright say how many of each one it was.
