International Law is a meme. Normies think it means something. It doesn't, not unless a fuck load of countries agree, which is fucking rare
Countries agreeing happens more often than you think. The issue is that there is no way to enforce it. If you want to enforce international law, you actually need to do what Trump did and do a no knock raid on the country and snatch the wanted guy in question(which is in violation of international law apparently).

Well it's no longer US lives at risk. What I believe will happen is the military leadership will take over for a temporary period in cooperation with US officials, oil companies will come in and improve the existing oil fields, and the US will start paying the government directly for every barrel of oil.

Any intervention in this system will probably be turned into an example. Maduro was the first. An optimistic approach is that the new money being pumped into Venezuela (which will be a lot) will improve infrastructure, provide jobs, etc. Government corruption will still very much exist but less cartel and drug smuggling and more financial fraud.
I also predict a military junta backed by the US ends up in control soon. That's the best-case scenario for the average person there. Otherwise it's going to be a nasty civil war.

In 2017 Saudi Arabia invited the Prime Minister of Lebanon Saad Hariri to visit. detained him, and forced him to resign.

international law literally doesn't matter

That's basically what I'm saying. If you want to enforce international law you need a big stick to do it. Nobody has a bigger stick than the US, so they can get fucked

apropos of nothing but the daily news and zero inputs from posts on here I'm just gonna say. Goddamn. Black helicopters back in action. Whooo-eeeee

also who be glowin

i hear if they don't recognize it, the airstrikes didn't happen, and the handcuffs and blindfold on maduro magic themselves away. then, maduro gets on a magic flying skeleton horse and gets away from his abusive captors to fly to hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. unfortunately for him, he will be back in prison at the end of the school year.
