I happened to be looking at this same account last night and am also perplexed. All of the account’s followers are Hispanic, EXCEPT for Nick Rekieta. Even stranger, a surprising proportion of their followers also appear to be fan accounts for the Menendez brothers.

If you don’t know, Lyle and Erik Menendez were two Beverly Hills rich kids who famously slaughtered their millionaire parents in 1989. The killings were so brutal that their mother was unrecognizable, their father was decapitated, and there were blood and brains all over the room. The brothers immediately went on a massive shopping spree with their parents’ money which raised some eyebrows. They later confessed, and it was clearly planned out for weeks.
At trial, they debuted a sob story about how their dad was raping them, which was enough for a mistrial. But the second time around, both were sentenced to life without parole. Last May, however, it was reduced to 50 years on appeal, after a cousin “found” a letter that supported the sexual abuse claims. The resentencing meant that they were eligible for parole, but both were denied.
Why this Menendez-loving IG account is of interest to Nick, and what it has to do with haute glam and fashion, is anyone’s guess. If Nick is actually thinking about making pro-Menendez content, it’s probably not a very good idea.
