It doesn't make sense because you could use B-2s and have more ordnance as compared to the F-22. They also wouldn't get there until later tonight. I was just reporting some OSINT I found hence why I asked if anyone had heard anything from the area around Whitman AFB since the B-2s are there.

tl;dr: The B-2's stealth capabilites are extremely top secret, very good, but not perfect. Every time they leave US soil, there is a chance Russia or China is able to get enough information about their signatures to be able to track them when WWIII happens.
Nothing ever happened up until 24 Feb 22, at which point Russia invaded the Ukraine. But in his arrogance, Putin merely established a new state of nothing ever happening.
I mean look at Syria, from 6 March 2020 to 27 November 2024 nothing happened, then in just 10 days the Assad regime totally collapsed.
