AI is trying to make 'post scarcity' a thing. Elon said money might not matter, and I think it's possible, but there will still be supply/demand that will need some sort of wealth exchange.
Nothing our current (planned) AI infrastructure can do will lead to 'post scarcity.' Elon, and other technocrats, are just vomiting the same utopian bullshit they do for any new technology that they're trying to get funding for. AI's primary benefit, at the moment, is improving productivity of specific industries by cutting the grunt work out of some white collar jobs, meaning you can generally do more with less. If we were a functional society, that actually gave a shit about its population, we would start scaling back our overall economic model to support single-income families again, and slow roll AI advancement so it's more in line with reasonable energy and infrastructure growth. Unfortunately, we don't, and the result is that the possibility of AI advancement leads to the industry gobbling up all the resources possible on the false promise of "AGI," which will ultimately crash not just the U.S., but the entire world's economy, and put civilization back decades if not a century depending on how bad shit goes.
Now to 'post-scarcity.' Even if the promise of AI leading to 'post-scarcity' was a potential reality, you
do not want it. We do not live in the world of old school Star Trek. We are not governed by the same type of people, and we are not a spacefaring civilization. The people who rule this world are evil. They hate you, they hate your family, and they hate humanity in general. All that matters to them is that their own putrid existence continue, and that their own lineage continue, not because they like their descendants or the future of thsi world, but because of their own narcissistic desire to leave the everlasting stain of their existence on this planet. The moment we enter 'post-scarcity,' they are going to wipe out everyone they can that seem a possible threat to their power. They say this outright. There are many "studies" done by the WEF, UN, and other globalist think-tanks talking about how they want to greatly reduce the world's population, and leave themselves as an intelligent, civilized ruling class that fuses with machines to become gods ruling above a brownoid, mutted slave class. And because of the retarded babbling of the technocrats in their never-ending desire to grift, they expected to have this done by 2030 (Agenda 2030), but now realize it will take longer and now expect it done by 2050.
If we ever reach 'post-scarcity,' you better hope we are either a spacefaring civilization, or that a benevolent ruling class has overthrown the existing one, because otherwise you're just going to be a body the "elites" stack to create their ultimately futile stairway to godhood.
