To be honest, BMJ has his moments. On some level, I understand the appeal of him. Really, I do. The biggest BMJ followers like to shit on this thread, but I don't return the favor because that seems petty.

He and Nick are really two entirely different cows that tend to elicit entirely different emotional reactions though. BMJ is more amusing. Nick is more infuriating. BMJ is at least somewhat likable. Nick is definitely not. I think that's the crux of the issue (and the resulting friction between the two camps). It really comes down to what type of lolcow you find more interesting. Last year, it's clear far more people found Nick's profound fall from grace a bigger draw than BMJ's wall punching shenanigans, and that's why Nick won in a landslide.

Like I've said, I acknowledge interest in Nick has fallen off somewhat from the stratospheric peak of 2024, so I have no trouble believing he very well might not have won this year. I just think that should have been confirmed first through the voting process.

It also would have been nice to see on the bar chart where Nick stacks up now compared to BMJ, Anisa, etc. Could he have scored 2nd or 3rd place? How much of a gap would there have been between him and whoever wins? I guess we'll never know.

Someone a few pages back elaborated on Andrew's connection to the Sektur, his wife appeared on Ralph's show and Andrew may have as well? Fast forward to today and he's got 4.5k live viewers and makes a few thousand bucks a stream if today's donations were anything to go off of. It's not surprising that he now would want to avoid the Sektur generally and Rekieta specifically.

In the Year of our Lord 2025 inviting Nick Rekieta onto your live stream is like inviting Dracula across your threshold. I think Branca realized this during Karen Read and made the right decision - stay friendly and just make excuses when you get invited on or Nick asks to come on your show.
