POCD is a condition where someone is consistently tormented by unwanted, intrusive thoughts related to sexually harming children. These people are not actually pedophiles and are horrified at the thought of actually harming a child, but their intrusive thoughts are usually along the theme of "what if I molested this child" and "what if I jerked off to child porn" and "what if I develop uncontrollable sexual urges towards children". People with this condition live miserable lives full of self-hate for having this condition. It can be a result of childhood sexual trauma.

Imagine if it was considered the socially acceptable and progressive thing to do to tell people with POCD "well maybe you should look at some child porn just to see if you like it!" or "here's a child AI sex chatbot I made, you should have sex RP with it" or "it's totally ok to be a pedophile as long as you're not really hurting kids, why don't you try touching kids' bodies besides their genital area just to see how it feels?" Like, imagine a classmate or coworker saying "Yeah so I told this guy on Discord that he should try masturbating into childrens' underwear to explore his sexuality" and getting the response "It's so awesome that you're being this person's safe place and encouraging him that it's ok to be himself and he shouldn't be ashamed!"

That's how I view egg cracking.
