I wonder how long the wait time is in Canadian walk in clinics? Their ER wait times are infamous, but it might not be bad at the casual clinic level.
It varies WILDLY from day to day.
This was a while back and in a different area than Chantal, but at the same clinic I once waited over 6 hours and then 2 weeks later waited about 10 minutes.
There are some places that have a sort of online ticketing system, where you fill out a small form and get a number. The clinic will then give you an alert when they think you'll be up soon. It's not a perfect practice, since they can really only guess but it's way more comfortable to wait around at home and quickly boot your ass over there than it is to sit in the waiting room and wonder if the crackhead next to you is going to snap.
Finally, introduced during COVID we do have things like "
Maple" where you can essentially facetime with doctors. I believe you're only charged if you use a service like prescription renewal, and they can't prescribe new meds, but it is an option.
None of these work great though if you're just looking for a dramatic vlog of you going to the ER to avoid criticism and get attention from medical staff and onlookers.
Meanwhile, as Chantal was spitting those insults in the most bitter voice possible, she was Danny DeVito bald on top and had shaved her thin side hair off entirely. She knew damn well DeeDee had 100 times the hair she had, and still chose that insult as if no one knew what her head looked like.
I kind of love and hate this about Chantal. It's both frustrating and fascinating.
One the one hand it makes sense; She incredibly slow witted and has no 'theory of mind' AND she's intensely vindictive, always wanting to hurt her targets as much as possible every time she's upset. So (unless she specifically knows her target's personal weaknesses*) she will always use the insults that hurt her (Chantal herself) the most to attack someone else.
This is why every one she hates is fatter, older, balder, unemployed, has no life, has no man / has a man that would choose Chantal over them, drives drunk/high, cheats, is a slut/druggie/drunk, their house is always in worse condition and is poor**.
On the other hand, as you said, literally every one with eye can see that she's projecting and it's completely nonsensical.
The frustrating part for me is when confronted with this it's always just a handwave, an eye roll, a quick "whatever" and more often than not a "you're blocked" before she's back repeating the same non-sensical insults 10 minutes later like it never happened.
My working theory is that this doubles as a self-soothing ritual as well.
She wants to hurt them with that insult, but she's also assuring herself that even though people also call her "old" and that cuts her to her core, DD is older so she gets a little boost. The weird part is she does this with things are indisputably untrue, but I think by saying them out load it will make them true, even just to herself or the very few gullible/retarded beezers/ass kissers that will parrot it back.
She's not more desirable, more loyal or nicer (I'm still reeling a bit that she said she was glad FFG's mom was dead jeezes) than anyone she is angry at BUT reality, video proof and stone-cold facts have never stopped her from rewriting history before*** and if her memory rewrites have taught me anything it's that even if no one else believes it, SHE believes it and it makes her feel better about being a miserable, unhygienic, unlovable, grease and salt filled tumour.
She's said it, so now she gets to believe that DD was more desperate than her, that Ala is fatter than her, that FFG smokes more than her and that Serial Cheater Salah is worse than her (even though she's cheated on every single boyfriend, even the imaginary ones, and bragged about being the "other woman"). It may not be true, but it's HER truth.
A quote from that era that lives with me is when she was asked mid-rant: "What makes me different from DD? (slight pause) I'm not wearing her dirty slippers."

* Not that we need examples, since once she finds something she never lets go but for example: finding out a reactor has criminal charges (even if she's dating someone with worse charges against them), finding out about FFG's dogs (I don't know or care about what the real story there is but she does not shut up about it), knowing people in the ME hate being called "dogs" and being told to kiss the bottom of shoes etc etc.
The point is once she knows it will hurt you she will turn that screw every chance she gets.
** This one interests me the most because she used to use it A LOT when she had money and I thought at first it was just her lording what she had over others, but thinking more about her bankruptcies and stealing from Peetz (the fact that she took out loans and credit cards in his name tends to be just sort of brushed over but feels like no only a big deal but such a huge betrayal in my mind, and it's weird it's not highlighted more often) I wonder if more than once someone in her life (mom, maybe step dad?) came down HARD on her for being a broke bitch who uses others and despite never changing that (just like she'll never change being fat despite clearly being insecure about it) it did hurt to hear and now she weaponizes that against others.
*** Final footnote I promise, but some of my favourites include: She tried to claim she broke it off with Nadar the moment she realized she was competing with DD (I will try to find the quote sometimes), that she believes the desperate men she paid for sex (through money or goods) were now taking advantage of HER, that time she tried to say all Salah's cheating was photoshop/AI and how she now had an "amazing" time in Cuba.
