Even in the most backwoods of villages people want their own car, there was that one video of that kid in Africa who built a technically functional vehicle with salvaged parts; it's not much (basically a wooden frame with a moped engine) but in the third world, it's faster and better than what anyone else has.

It's also going to be far easier for his security team to secure a plane which already has security than a train where they usually have no security and they'd likely have had to take over a full car to get nearly the same level of security.I don't see the problem. The guy constantly promotes public transit like busses and trains and talks about being eco friendly. It was a low hanging gotcha for more right leaning journos. In fact he almost fucked himself over when he just recited his fast and affordable busses talking point because the lady was about to ask him why didn't he take the bus when Trump stepped in.
He made a lot of dumb promises and just got elected, let the man cook. He will be a frequent character in this thread in a few months.
It wasn't a progressive asking questions, they they don't ask gotchas to their own and they would have stopped at his urbanist talking point instead of trying to trip him up with a follow up.
MTG took the train from Georga to DC, it isn't impossible and I doubt security would be that much trickier than flying.
