Trump is usually good at reading the room, it's part of why the average Joe likes him. Trump did give Vivek the boot after he basically said the same thing about America "needing" Indians because Americans are not smart enough or willing to do the work that Indians do. So I'm a little confused as to why Trump is essentially saying the exact same shit as Vivek when he knows American rage is barely being contained at the moment. Part of what is keeping it contained is the promise of illegals going home and better job oppertunities. What Trump said is very tone deaf and not going to go over well.

I am not dooming, but there needs to be some serious course correct.
This shit will 100% sink the republicans come midterms if there isn’t a course correction

“Who else you gonna vote for”
Is not gonna cut it to there is always the option to not vote

If this was “just” a messaging slip up, then he needs to be better informed. I get people saying “ohhhh he’s just one guy” but 60% of college grads are out of work. This is a five alarm issue, and Trump is being weak on it.
Thankfully, it really does seem like Trump is just particularly shit at phrasing himself in this interview (I don't know if there was some editing behind the scenes to make him look extra out-of-touch or what, but I wouldn't put it past Fox) rather than the policy being as bad as feared with each "bombshell" release, but I'm not gonna excuse him for putting his foot in his mouth. The guy should know that perception is reality, especially in politics, and you need to be careful with your wording to not piss off your base.

The problem is the enemy's been inside the gate for decades now with H1B. The time to stop this was in the mid 00's, especially after the damn .dot crash. There was no excuse to flood in IT people at all. Boomers don't get it and never win. The one upside for this is it'll force the libs to have to trash them too now if Trump supports it, but usually they just ignore stuff that goes along with their side in general.

It also makes no sense to retain factory trainers, setting up a factory and teaching locals how to operate it safely is a specialized skill, they're not going to tie those people to a specific factory.

It's a South Korean company man, the SK in blueoval SK stands for South Korea.

They likely used the same sort of trainers to set up the factory.
you'd think so, that makes sense. but it's wrong.

Local community college did a ton of the training. i get what you mean though, and i'm not trying to be my normal asshole self here with you. This place was set up a bit different, or it sure looks like it was. Perhaps some koreans were there training up the initial people.

Here's the clip.

Absolutely crazy to hear Trump of all people say this shit. "we can't just survive with just Americans, we gotta go to the absolute slums of the Indian subcontinent where they shit in the streets and sleep on train tracks to really get that elite human capital."
Why not force these corrupt and crooked companies to hire and train workers instead of importing a bunch of poor people to do it for cheaper?

Democrats will never address the H1B or foreign worker/student flood in any serious manner. As far as they're concerned those are all new voters for them.

"That's socialism!" - dipshit Randian/Reagan cargo-cultist Boomercons.

Within the next few weeks, the first round of college students will start their futures in the industry with the goal of bringing their skills to the manufacturing plant set to open next year.
"The operators will actually be able to come in and function or either use those specific equipment all the way up to, for example, controls engineering," Michael Adams, BlueOval SK CEO, said. "So we'll have the controllers in there where our technicians can come in and diagnose a problem and actually program."
The center had multiple classrooms ready to welcome and train future operators, technicians and engineers.
The training center will start onboarding classes in June.
"A huge push forward for Kentucky to become the electric vehicle battery production capital of the United States of America," Beshear said.
The primary curriculum for the training facility will support battery knowledge, roles and skills. BlueOval SK will train employees in SK On’s proprietary technical, quality and manufacturing processes in the ECTC BlueOval SK Training Center’s virtual reality labs, industrial maintenance lab, work simulation lab and ergonomics techniques classrooms.

As I understand it, BlueOval SK built the community college specifically to train future employees.

That's what they're complaining about.
