This is the sad reality of it. Even if you dislike weed this is less about the weed and more about the corporate controlled weed lobby trying to shut others out of the market. The problem is that market is huge now and has their own weight to throw around. They will likey just update the labels to claim the drugs are in compliance.
This is a huge issue with the gray market and even the "legal" market is that neither are properly regulated. Weed legalization much like the war on drugs seems to be a half assed half measure. As mentioned above in places like Florida it is just an excuse for a monopoly for the governor's friends. DeSantis is basically a drug kingpin. Ironically those legal "medical weed" places turn around and fight against full legalization efforts. This rider in the CR is just a grift for the legal market not an actual effort stop the sale of weed. In that sense it is dumb to risk such a major budget fight over something so trivial in comparison.
