My family is a similar size to his and basically laundry is just a constant thing. When I get up in the morning I start a load after I put the coffee on and then just go from there switching and folding as the day goes. Everyone has their own laundry basket so I sort into their basket or into piles for each person. It's constant, but it's not hard. If you choose to have a big family you just get on with it and do what needs to be done. Also, it's not like all five kids were dropped off at the door step suddenly.
