Unless gay pedophiles have had some kind of technological breakthrough, you cannot spam CP if you cannot post links or upload images/videos.

For the sake of discussion lets say the probationary period is "at least 1 month and 100 posts" to be eligible for full functionality. That would mean that the gay pedophile spamtard would have to wait at least a month and generate 100 text posts per account that hold up to manual approval before he has the opportunity to spam CP.

To me this sounds like a pretty good barrier to him, but not much of a barrier for a True and Honest user of the site. Am I being retarded?

I'd say the probationary period should mainly be for posting images and links. Very rarely have I needed to post images in other subforums to contribute. Conrad's threat level goes down if he can't post CP.

Edit: ALSO, have the probationary period be randomized for each new account so Conrad can't nail down the waiting period.

As said before, the problem with a probation is that you can register a ton of accounts, wait a week and then spam as usual. You're just putting a delay on the inevitable.

Not to blackpill too much, but having watched an endless supply of Youtube police body cam videos of (usually dumb niggers or illegals) getting busted trying to commit check fraud in person at local bank branches over the years and seeing what little gets done on the judicial end about it, that's probably not much of a hindrance to the kind of people who'd pull it. I routinely see repeat offenders getting nothing but probation (if that) and wrist-slap fines.

I've really been getting increasingly bothered and heated lately about how utterly impotent our justice system is in actually punishing convicted offenders. All the wrong crimes get severely punished and none of the actual, society-harming ones get any attention. I mentioned it in USPG2 ... it's almost a shame we have no actual vigilantes, and the fact we haven't seen any has me thinking the old George Carlin bit about bad politicians really is true: "this is the best we can do, folks."

No good. Burner phones are trivial to acquire, and without a shared global blacklist system (that would be abused and misused; see spamhaus for the contemporary "internet vigilantism gone wrong" example) each burner phone number can be used in a wide variety of crimes before it becomes useless. Easily worth the $30-ish it costs to get a new burner phone and/or a fresh SIM.

Maybe a minimum number of text posts required before you can post images? Spam posts would be easier to spot, and setting the limit at fifty or sixty might make it harder for 1500 CSAM spamming accounts to come online and shit all over the site. It would still turn into whack a mole. I don't know what Null's admin tools are, but he might have to develop a posting frequency monitor to stop someone from posting single-word entries to circumvent the limit.

Edit: It occurred to me that posters like the Minnesota Public Documents guy would be gimped initially, but they could at least ask the mods for approval to post.

I don't remember if you're doing email validation for new sign-ups, as it's been a couple years. But as you've said he does have real email addresses.

How about retard-sourced verification. Any sign-up request has a text box where you have to prove you're a human. Results of text box and proposed name get posted to a thread(?) and existing users can sticker it "Agree" or "Disagree" and based on some metric the user is automatically allowed, manually reviewed or denied outright.

There might be some available open source AI models out there that could detect sus images like ShieldGemma 2, but I'm not sure what the CPU cost is. Obviously they won't let you play with the big dogs and use the tools that protect themselves.

That's why it should be both a period of time and a number of posts. It would force him to not only wait but to also generate a significant number of posts. Finally those posts would face manual inspection during the approval process.
