Throughout a large portion of Ethan's career, one of his closest friends was the content creator Idubbbz. Yet recently, due to their differences and opinions, Idubbbz released a content expose on Ethan under his infamous format titled Content Cop.

The thing is, Idubbbz has also lost a big portion of his original fan base in a similar style to Ethan. The two being mirrors of each other. Idubbbz was known for being an edgy content creator who garnered a certain fan base because of that. To come out with a content cop that went against much of those original content styles and platformed many creators that his original fan base disagreed with meant his video received a ton of dislikes.

Content creators like Keemstar, Destiny, and XQC all took to their respective platforms to defend Ethan Klein after the content cop, which is very different from their interactions of the past when it comes to Ethan Klein.

Ethan also defended himself.
[Dueling clips of Ethan and Ian]
To be fair, I definitely think Idubbbz's approach, claiming to be a concerned friend who recently learned the concept of empathy while dancing around in a goofy way and sort of teasing Ethan Klein, it definitely sends mixed messaging. Like I said earlier, in some ways Ethan and Ian are kind of mirrors of one another.

Ethan was clearly hurt by Ian Idubbbz making this video. He continued to make content about Ian Idubbbz and his wife Anisa. like in one uncomfortable clip where he thinks it's worth flexing on them.

Ethan has also made a lot of comments about Ian's wife, Anisa, who it at least appears publicly, doesn't seem to be doing anything particular to provoke Ethan to be making such regular commentary on her, besides just strongly disagreeing with him.
But it's clear that what Ethan disliked most of all about Ian's content cop was him associating with content creators who Ethan saw as the main reason for a hate campaign against him, who he thought were out to get him. And even behind CPS being called on his family and children, which we will get to.

The thing is, throughout Ethan's career, there have always been an enemy out to get him and an audience of yes people to validate his beliefs. But what happens when Ethan's enemies are small and powerless in comparison to him? Wouldn't that essentially make him the villain?
