I have to admit, I thought her head would be wider and fatter without the scuba cap. I know the filters are working overtime, but she looks pretty close to pre-cosplay era, perhaps a bit more saggy.
Of course the biggest difference from then to now, is that her health condition now is basically bed-bound and she is out of breath from just trying to get up from sitting down.

I think (hope) that things will escalate quickly now. Being back in Canada and without a man, it'll be suicide by gummies and junkfood.

I think even Peetz wants to see how this pans out before committing to moving in with her. He’s an idiot, but has enough brain cells telling him that she’s impulsive. I hope he does though, he deserves to be even more miserable working as her manservant.

Syria is about 2000 feet above sea level. Kuwait is at sea level, Cornwall is about 200 feet above.

Being at a higher altitude can cause swelling in the tissues, as well as breathing issues due to lower air pressure.

Most people don’t get symptoms of high-altitude sickness until they’re somewhere extremely elevated - like Everest base camp.

But for someone in such poor health, you can definitely see the effects at lower elevations when it’s a lot higher than they’re used to.

There could have been a lot of fluid retention causing that edematous look in her face and fingers especially. Combined with the chin Spanx forcing everything forward, that’s probably why she looked more like a bloated tick in Syria.
 
I don’t get this “Salad promised to divorce” thing in the feature. The first year with Salad it was clear he didn’t even particularly care if she wore a hijab and probably would have preferred her to be more western in dress. Chantal said she wanted to wear it (because face spanx).

When did he suddenly decree the hijab mandatory or that her lack of one would mean no more fake marriage?
