The docket is over a thousand pages by this point, probably more than two thousand, and they have seen enough of Shitlips to know he is a recalcitrant, vexatious Greetard who is painful to deal with on a good day, and they don't want to deal with him. Worst of all though, when the case was kicked back down from the 10th Circuit due to the "merits" of the complaint, I'm sure they figured another dismissal would have to be bulletproof to survive the inevitable second appeal. And why would they bother? If you ignore the fact that this case is an endless money pit for the defendants, there isn't really any harm in ignoring the docket, sort of like the Acerthorn case. The complaint is never going anywhere, and they have only their precious time, sanity, and good boy points (something I imagine federal judges gossip about at cocktail parties), from getting the case revived yet again on appeal, to lose by actually dealing with it. I highly doubt many federal judges know what it is like to be a poorfag constantly getting sued by pro se in forma pauperis vexatious litigants forever and ever. They only see the insanity unfolding in the form of multiplying ECF numbers and simply choose not to address it because it is the path of least resistance.
Moral cowards who erode the legal fabric of our Union. It makes me a tad bit angry.

We're going to go basically all of 2025 with this case only being about the court trying to wrangle and punish greee for his fucking around than actually moving forward with the case. It feels like we haven't moved a single step forward but s few steps back in fact.

I mean, an entire year of wrangling and punishing Russell isn’t *that* bad, all things considered. It’s better than the alternative.

Of course. I was more marveling at it then anything else. If the judges ever took the time to reflect they might be in danger of coming to their senses and putting a stop to these reindeer games.

The Utah District Court updated their site yesterday re: the shutdown. (Archive)

It doesn't really appear that it would affect our case at all; the judges are still hearing and deciding cases, and staff are still processing filings. Our two judges still don't have any hearings scheduled on the calendars page, but some other magistrates do have hearings. 🤷‍♂️

Stabby v Moon is moving slowly too, luckily over there there's no money being spent as the court has just decided to sit on the case.
Last time Moon had to file anything was back in April 2024.

This case made me look up legal docketing and scheduling software. I was curious to see if the software ever forsaw such... complex proceedings. They all seem pretty capable. Honestly I wonder if internal courts use the same main software lawyers choose or if clerks just use the "bottom of the stack first" approach and judges read the last page of the previous ruling and wing it. If the Feds use any internal scheduling solution it sure doesn't look like it.

I would prefer if the punishments are actually implemented at full-face value, but I'll take what I can get with this little Greeeeee roasting on a spit of his own making.

Greer filed his motion for time extension to provide that RO on Oct 16th. He asked for a 30 day extension to get it. If the tard shielders grant it, that puts his new deadline to deliver at Nov 16th. That is almost exactly 1 year after the preliminary scheduling conference, when Greer dodged Hardin until the judge got involved.

That new deadline would be exactly 6 months after the judge's original deadline for finishing discovery, May 16th. If Greer delivers, it would be the first document he fully delivered, 11 months late from initial request and 6 months late after discovery was stayed because he's a lazy shit.

Time is a retarded circle.

This case just turned 5 years old in September. It has literally lasted longer than America's involvement in World War 2, and yet those sanctions against him are the only accomplishment which Russell can really claim as his own.

Yeah, really amazing this case is now being held up on a document that will more than likely have zero relevance to Greer's copyright case. Like really, what could a restraining order application have to do with that? But since Greer didn't argue that basic point, he's stuck getting it.

Last time Greer blew past the sanctions deadline it took the court three weeks to respond, so not really holding my breath for anything else happening soon except for maybe the court's ruling on what Greer owes Hardin in sanctions.
