Yes because literally everything is a political hit job and nobody with slanted eyes could possibly ever really be corrupt.
You're missing the intended point. People get their shit pushed in for being corrupt in other countries. Over here they're rewarded for it.
They are all extremely corrupt. The guys who don't get purged, the guys who do. If the top military brass of a dictatorship or single party state is getting purged it's a massive, massive sign of internal instability. Xi's reign has been marked from the beginning by internal instability as there has been a massive split inside of the party on several issues but you can broadly group them to 1) How to get as rich as America, 2) How much to skim off the top and how much to redistribute to the plebs, and 3) How soon before we pull the trigger on the Taiwan Invasion Plan.
Xi's plan so far on these three have all been unsatisfactory. The military hardliners want him to get fucked and anyone with money or common sense (not the farmers and migrant construction and factory laborers--rednecks basically--who make up the backbone of China economically) Problem 1? Xi's plan so far is: I dunno lol let's shut down the country for 3 years and destroy our tourism sledgehammer we use to dictate shit to SEA, dump everything we make and crash the yuan, crank up the factories and work another generation blind assembling iPhones 2) As much as possible the plebs get fucking nothing, crash the real estate market, crash the construction industry, bankrupt the healthcare industry by draining the healthcare fund to keep lockdowns going and trap doctors and nurses in hospitals for months and pay for bullshit testing and PPE. 3) Fucking never, make lots of noise and move slowly.
A dictator in Peru, Oscar Benavides once said "For my friends, everything; for my enemies, the law." You're seeing it happen there. It's a big problem for the organization when the upper echelons of any organization aren't safe. They're gone. Their staff is gone. Their experience and networks of loyalties are gone. It doesn't stop with the guy who gets purged. It's dangerous roll up a power network, it will try to lash out and survive.
I missed this earlier, but there's that derisive laugh again. Is this something like the hands thing where it's just cultural, or is it something they tell them to do in those pamplets/posts they pass around?
e.g. I can't find it again, but I remember seeing a copypasta they were sending around a while back around how you shouldn't film protests and how people need to be on-point to block people filming by intimidating and blocking them.
it's nervous forced laughter intended to show they're mocking the person even though they don't find it funny and are just super tense
