I don't think unintended recipients were ever the problem (aside from genuine erp chains and resulting goonerleaks, but I think those were purged and if users here still engage in this kind of shit, they do it off the site). The problem was people inviting random users who don't want to be invited but this was resolved with creation of the consent thread in Mass Debates and limiting invitation privileges to the OP of a chain.

Also this chain of events was set off by something Ness said on the forum, not in DMs. That's just where he got called out and eventually sperged his way into a mass debates thread. This could've easily taken place much the same way if someone decided to argue with him in the A&N thread instead.

If someone is posting really unhinged takes no one normal except the most extremely online and divorced from reality would make, and they have a track record of doing so, check their post count against their registration date and the last post they made. Do the math (or have ChatGPT do it for you) and average out how many posts they've made. There's not really a threshold of how much is too online, I get some people work from home/work at a desk where they can shitpost at their jobs. But I'd say in general anything in the double digits is a sign of mental illness, addiction, either to social media or alcohol or pills or something, being jobless, or just being a hollow husking of a human sperg with nothing better to do with xheir time.
