The second one has character designs that are an instant red flag. It's trying to invoke Final Fantasy 7 but somehow with worse graphics. We already talked about how they love making low poly look awful but we will never run out of examples with games like this.
There was a whole IGN article about how they put in tons of effort to prevent Sephiroth from looking like a woman.
Looking at them is bad so it's perfectly fine for them to be warped and made to look as unappealing as possible, more masculine on purpose, or both. I always found this funny how the gears turn when people do this in the name of feminism and for the power of women. They want women to be empowering but have done everything in their power to make them as unappealing as possible in most media from appearance to personality. It gets to the point where with this character in Absolum there is no reason why she just couldn't be a man if you're gonna go this hard into making her look and nonfeminine as possible.

I think both the voice you described and the voice they gave the character sound wrong! Very "modern voice acting whiney" kind of voice here for a character that's depicted as more deadpan tired looking than whiney.
Reminds me of the neat trivia about shit with black and white tv shows and movies where if they wanted something to show up as white they'd paint it that specific weird light teal because it showed up as more white than actual white did when translated to film.
This actually looks cool but it looks like it doesn't play well, which the reviews seem to agree with.

Bring it up with the TTRPG thread, people here have done cool stuff for free (the DOOM stuff for example) with enough time and effort so it's entirely possible this might become a thing.
