This has always confused me about these streamers. Some streamers can be entertaining at times, but I don't need to throw money at them for that. Ethots on the other hand aren't entertaining most of the time, and I've never seen a clip of Emiru being entertaining at all. Couple of months back during the discussion about twitch not counting viewbots I went and skimmed through one of her streams, it was boring as fuck. She watched some game trailers(commercials), some random videos on youtube or whatever and had nothing interesting to say about them, and then went on to boringly play either dark souls or elden ring for a bit. She's not hot, has a voice like a cheese grater on a chalkboard, and I can find porn of better looking chicks elsewhere without having to listen to her pretend to give a shit what anyone in her chat says disrupting otherwise run of the mill gameplay or "reacting" to videos I could watch without pauses or an additional awful voice saying random shit.

In a society, money is a way to track "how much you have done", and then spend it to get something. Now, in practice there are many flaws in this implementation. But, in principle, that's why we have laws to discourage ways to make money in unethical ways, even if the as you say "suckers are now separated from their money", now you got another group of people making this a business and now having more money than honest people. Since money in a society is also leverage for influence, you now got people who suck influencing your life.
