Like any rational person I realize that an actual civil war in the US would be catastrophic even if it's just the DOW waffle stomping some turds down the shower drain.

However, a "civil war" against what is essentially just Chicago would be unfathomably based. There would be a few days of total annihilation and then 50 years of no voting rights during "Reconstruction".

If it was so easy why didn’t the rest of Russia just starve out Petrograd and Moscow during their civil war.

Why didn’t the nationalists just starve out Madrid and Barcelona?

beyond optimistic, the police union of Chriaq openly said that’s why they were militarizing in the late 90s. If the state government wanted to how would they be unable? Illinois national guard is probably about as loyal as the Oregon national guard for one.

What’s more likely it would be one of the 1/100 civil conflicts that ends in a week? Or the other 99 where it turns out the “it will be over by Christmas” shit was laughably optimistic.

China quarantined Wuhan in 2020 using the military. No one could get in or out, and if you were to use the air force to spread diseases and toxic chemicals with crop-dusters and blankets and whatnot you could make life there hell.
